It is true Jesus got baptized if you believe the Bible, I do. So Jesus is the way, most people, I wonder, get baptized to follow Jesus, that's what they teach. I believe it and I believe John the baptist. It is a "bait and switch" organization. You get baptized for Jesus, but you become Watchtower property. I don't understand. Why is it legal?

Hi AnneB! Peace! The point I am bringing out is not about the inter-racial marriages. It is the rule that Jehovah's Witness should obey the law of the land if it does not interfer with the spirit and the truth of the worship of Jehovah. Now they say do not obey the law of the land when the law of the land says make known the pediophiles.
I shall share what I heard from an elderly sister. She had a bad marriage, had many children, then her husband died. She was free to marry. She met a brother, he also had children, they married. The second husband had been dis-fellowshipped, but maybe you know that when a person is, the reason hardly ever becomes known. It was for child molestation. She married him without knowing that. (this is hearsay, I understand), but if it is as she told it, I have no reason to believe her not, why did nobody warn her? It turns out he molested her kids (hearsay), but I believe a similar scenario is possible with the way I know things work in the org.

i cannot find anything remotely racist, and yet i know that some of their older publications that they do not include on the cd has some racist opinions.
i was wondering if anyone else found anything from newer publications.. i don't want there to be any commentslike that, i'm just curious.

AnneB You are right. My theory is 2 Peter 3: 3,4 says mockers with their mockery will come according to their own desires (eagerness for-epithumia). What they are mocking is the Bible. Do they not imitate it where it does not apply and do they not twist scriptures to fit their own understanding? Also the same word "eagerness for" is found at 2 Timothy 4:3 where it says "according to their own desires (eagerness for-epithumias) they will accumulate teachers for themselves. We see that all the time, brothers put up in positions of leadership who do not know the Bible.
Who do we know that is a body that can be identified by what is with them? Mockers with their mockery.
this weekend at our special assembly day, let gods will take place the final talk was a head shaker.... the bethel speaker was quite entertaining when he joked @ the shortcomings of the elders.
