@ Truthseeker100, - I actually heard of a similar story, at the door to door work on Staten Island NY, many years ago. Except it was an alder German brother, and there was a big, barking, mean dog, "gaurding" the door. The older German brother was like "dont worry, Jehovah will protect us", in his German accent, and he went right up to the dog and whacked it on its nose, with a pair of gloves. The big dog allowed them to ring the bell and got outta there way, lol. -

Actually, i just remember one that happened to me. I was working a block with my ex-wife as my partner, and another couple, doing house over house. The other couple went to a door where an older man told them "not interested". Later on, while we were still on this block, that same older guy was up a ladder on his front lawn, cleaning his gutters. Well, the ladder must have slipped out, and he got tossed, falling down to the ground behind some bushes. We all saw it, and ran over, and helped the old geezer, like "good little christians". We got his wife, who was inside the house, and helped to call 911, and all that good stuff.
I will never forget, how everybody was saying that Jehovah or the angels, must have made sure we were there, so that we could have helped him, especially since he fell behind bushes, and may not have been found if we didnt see it. But, how STUPID is that line of thinking, because if that was the case, then why wouldnt Jehovah or the angels have just made sure the old guy didnt fall in the first place, lol.

I got 2 really wierd/funny/strange ones, that happened to my father, not me. These happened back in the 70's before i was born, probably. One, was a woman answered the door, and had a "blank" look on her face the whole time. My father went into his normal presentation, anyway, but then at about halfway thru, the woman while continuing to "stare" and never saying a word, started having some white liquid, like milk, heavily pour out of her mouth. Lol, my father, who was never an uptight, stick up his ass JW, just started laughing, and him and the other bro walked away.
The other one was that the homeowner was a middle aged man, and he opened the door, and stood there listening to the "message", only to pass out and fall on the floor backwards, like a plunge into a pool. I honestly, dont know what happened after that, i am assuming my father helped the guy, or something, lol, who knows.

Your assignment , to be an Guardian Angel.
by James Mixon inyour assignment to watch over brother xxx for the next 80 years.
some guardian angels are assigned to protect and guide a particular person, group, kingdom or country.
the assignment to watch over one person sounds boring, is it a 24 hour thing.. what happen when his assigned person get into a altercation with another person assigned by another angel, do they make bets who will win.

I'm sick of...
by freemindfade ini'm sick of.... ...having an elder i barely know invite himself over to my house, and bring another asshole elder with him, you know, to "see how i'm doing" f-ck them.
...having same elder with all insincerity approach me at the beeting and before inviting himself over, ask, "how are you doing?
" then when i say everything is great, go ahead and invite them selves over anyway.

I remember coming home once, and there were 2 elders sitting in my living. I had NO idea they were going to be there. My a@#hole wife at the time, invited them there without me knowing or discussing it with me(the head of the household, lol). My now ex-wife was such a horrible, judgemental, lieing, evil motived human being, and she is still part of the BORG, till this day. She fits in perfect, actually.
When this happened we were going thru "marital problems", yeah no kidding, WE WERE 20 YEARS OLD, and had to marry early and take on heavy duty financial burdens, all at a young age cause maybe you might want to have sex, but thats another story. Anyway, she sneakily had these 2 elders come to my home, and when i got home, i was railroaded.
I think back now, some 20 years later, and think how it would be NOW, if i came home at the age of 40 and saw 2 unanounced men/elders in my house. I would toss them out my front door head first, and they would learn REAL QUICK to never come by me again. Damn bullys, they were so "big" when i was a 20 year old kid, try that now to the man i am now, and see what happens.

"So that we will not be confused with salesmen, it is best not to mention the donation arrangement unless we are asked..."
by Island Man in"so that we will not be confused with salesmen, it is best not to mention the donation arrangement unless we are asked how our work is financed.".
this damning quote is found on page 1 of the september 2015 our kingdom ministry, the last sentence in the 3rd bullet point under the sub-heading how to do it.
this quote amounts to an implicit admission that the jw practice of mentioning the donation arrangement to householders at the door, makes them look like door to door salesmen.. why would "jehovah's organization" be engaging in a practice that is nothing more than a transparent attempt at undercover soliciting?

Is it really that great being one of the Governing Body Members?
by John Aquila inmovie stars travel to, or buy their own private beaches, they get invited to fun parties, and are able to buy not one, but several fast sport cars like jay leno.
they can buy their own planes and helicopters and fly them like harrison ford.
(how much fun would that be?

My ex-Grandmother inlaw, was OBSESSED with being up the GB's asses, and since we were in a congregation in the NYC borough, she had "access" to them. Brother Henschel, who at the time i think? was the top GB, was literally invited to my ex-wifes BRIDAL SHOWER, by my ex-grandmother in law. The crazy thing is, he actually WENT, and was the only male at the bridal shower, even i wasnt there and i was the groom, lol. She used to shower him with gifts and cash, and she would call him her "personal angel".
Henschel NEVER said a word about like "please, i am just a humble servent", NOPE, instead he would eat it up. His grubby hands were out all the time for her cash. He probably looked at it as a type of "business move" to go to my ex-wives shower. Knowing that by continuing to be her "personal angel", she would keep dropping the cash. I heard, cause i wasnt personally there, that at the bridal shower he sat at a table and chair of prominence, like he was a "god".
It still baffles me till this day, 20 some what years later, that he had the balls to be the only dude at a bridal shower, and was the head of the governing body, and all because my ex-grandmother was financially rich and everyone, including the GB, KNEW it.

I remember having the "privilege" of handling the mics at a VERY young age. I was like 9 or 10, no BS, but i had to wear a tie and jacket, which i did anyway. My case was not typical though, in the Elders minds, i was destined for "great" things, so they tried to start me early. Lol, boy did i disapoint them, lol. -

Sheep who mate in front of stripey trees will produce stripey offspring
by purrpurr ingenesis 30:37 leaving aside the whole "joseph cheats laham out of his flock" issue.
one passage of scripture that i've missed until now is 30:37 where it says how joseph got all the sheep to be stripey etc ( btw have you ever seen a stripey sheep?
cos i certainly haven't!).

The truly incredible, wonderful, faith strengthening, miracle here from Jehovah, is not the "striped" sheep, its that God turned Jacobs sheep into Zebras, lol. -

Are the J.W's reaching a "Tipping point"?
by karter ini haven't been to a meeting in 15 years but my mother and sister are hard as j.w's.
the brothers they are appointing elders are at best suspect like one guy from my old hall made elder, big time drug used before becoming a j.w his talks are all over the place and would have struggled to make m,s years ago but with at least 60 to 70 % of young ones leaving the pool to pick from is at best reduced.. 2 other recent elders both young and zero life experience both on benefits one not well at all falls asleep all the time.. the decent, kind elders mostly older and are decent people with alot of life experience are burning out fast as there are so few of them left like 3 per congro of 100 publishers.. then you have the rich elders who wouldn't ever think of inviting some poor older or mis-fit person out to the expensive placers they go to as they couldn't afford to go so they are above the r&f and the r&f get pissed off with them.
then we have the ones who have "put the kingdom 1st" who are now old worn out and barely getting by from welfare cheque to welfare cheque that are saying "the system should have been over many years ago" it's still here and they are struggling everyday.. then there are the pioneers who have a low payed reduced hour job that seem to think anyone who has anything is totally materialistic and looks down on anyone getting a new car buying a house ect.. along with the child abuse issues, the generation change, access to information the the g.b don't want anyone to know ,not to mention the issues around blood.. is there a tipping point coming????

It is really a domino affect at this point. I do beleive the WT is at a crucial point, and is slowly imploding. This "slow" imploding, however, will soon turn into the rapid demise of the WT, like the final sands in an hourglass.
The OP's description of his KH, is exactly how most of our old cong's were, and are. It takes time for major changes to start, but once true integral, fundamental, changes start to happen, its only a matter of time before it "blooms".
The Congregations are sick, the healthy flowers(older, compassionate elders) have died, or are put out to pasture. The idiot "yes" men, that 10 years ago, would NEVER have even made servant, are "running" things. There is NO "new blood" coming in, or any inteligent people of worth joining this religion. The RF are simple minded, poverty stricken, un-educated, drones.
This is NOW the norm, and its taken 10 years to get to this low point. Now the sickness will grow exponentously. In another 10 years, the hanger ons, and quiet doubters, will FINALLY give up, and realize the sesspool that the once "grand" congregation has become. The sickness will now be at critical mass. No fruit will bloom, no love will reside there, only doubt, and pain and hurt. The branches will all be broken, the roots long withered and died away, and all that are left will wallow in the mud that is left behind.
