The only move I ever remember the watchtower SPECIFICALLY stating that we SHOULDN'T see was not mentioned by name, but you KNEW which movie it was - because they described scenes in detail...and i think it was even placed in a watchtower study.....SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. Anybody remember this?

((((((((((((asortafairytale)))))))))))))))))
So sorry for your loss. Mine died and was burried on my birthday....which stinks because now every birthday for the rest of my life, i have to remember the worst.
Try to remember the best. I always try and it helps. And who knows. . . maybe she's still around somehow and we just don't know it. I'd like to think so.

Long prayers at the hall
by JH inin every congregation there is always a brother who gives a marathon prayer.
in my congregation there was a brother whose prayers were so long that i decided to time his prayer with my watch.
it lasted about 3-4 minutes.

OMG!!!! this made me remember the prayer at my wedding reception. It wasn't bad enough that my prayer after my ceremony lasted an eternity, the prayer at the wedding reception that my ex-husband's fanatic uncle gave was an eternity. i was STARVING because I hadn't eaten all day (wedding was at 5PM, reception at 7PM). So he gave the longest ass prayer (i picked at my chicken during the prayer when no one was looking!)......and of course, the videographer taped the entire prayer. whenever i watch it....we fast forward thru the tape and it takes a good 4 minutes ON FAST FORWARD to go thru it....so you can just imagine!

Ray Franz' Book
by JNS2 inhowdy, i'm new here.
21 years in & now about 1 year drifted away with no meetings for spiritual food other than the memorial.
so, in my brother's view i am either spiritually dead or the next thing to it.

Welcome to the board JNS2. Nice to have ya aboard!
The way I see it, real "truth" should hold up to any scrutiny. Those were my thoughts when I, at the time still a witness, decided to read Ray's book. If it's the "truth", then NOTHING i read should affect my faith.
Think of it that way, read it, then draw your own conclusions.
