yup, i shoulda known they just make it up as they go along but hey ho i was just a kid, so i didnt like food that visibly had blood in it after it was cooked.

A sister from an old congregation wants to talk to me tomorrow....
by not a captive init is peculiar.
she called the woman i work for to set up a visit after noon tomorrow to talk to me.. i don't know this sister very well.
she is from a congregation i attended about six years ago.

**If she is there to talk religion, just pick one subject and don't change it or let her change it........... ** or just tell her to naff off, cos she has no business to invade your place of work to preach to you.
on the other hand she may have her own doubts or need a friend because shes left, still a weird way to go about getting in touch when a call would probably have sufficed.

if she knows where you work she could have dropped you a note or a call stating her purpose and giving you the opportunity of choice of when and if you even want to see her.

nice to meet you, the bonus is your wife also realising things are not quite as they seem behind the curtain. maybe theres some things you and your missus can do together to start widening your social circle (unless youve already started)it might help take the edge off the family stuff.

JW Woman dies refusing blood....

sad thing is if the doctors stopped being petty and insisting on bloody and just gave her alternative blood volumiser sooner she might have been fine.
it took the elders hours to get her transferred to a new hospital.

isnt it awEful that a book publishing company who cant make up their minds between animal blood products and human blood products wont allow their members the medical treatment that befits their circumstances instead of pretending theres a host of magic cure alls for every condition.
isnt it awEful when a woman who is obviously not of her right mind and suicidal is railroaded into finishing the job by a bunch pf pseudo experts.
bit weird how things have changed, when i was a dub you knew that you stood a good chance of dying if you made that choice, the lightweight jws these days not only expect to put extra pressure on medical staff and resources they expect the doctors to work wonders and shit miracles and save them from their token sacrificial gestures, and then not content with doctors doing the best they can with what they have under difficult circumstances they want a huge payout afterwards when it backfires.
what happened to the good old days when you sacrificed for faith and signed the release form to say you were taking responsibility for that choice and released the doctors from blame.
maybe the advance directive should have a footnote these days

GL thats the bit that really blows my mind, i cannot understand how the blood laws the jws pertain to hold to were referring to food-animal blood,
and yet these days products made from animal blood are now deemed acceptable. if theyre going to allow those then surely they may as well drop the whole no blood thing altogether.
