KH school on christmas day & new years day
by dozy inwhen i was an elder i used to hate the wts organising km schools on christmas or new years day ( like they are doing again this year) & i know many other elders & ms felt the same.
it always struck me as a foolish time of year to organise these meetings.
for many it was the time of the year when they had family staying on holiday.

one way of ensuring most are on holiday and available and reinforces christmas is just another day in j-dubdum, its not like jws should have any special arrangements for those days

Hello!

have been reading so many comments from you guys over the past few months and now i can finally comment too!.
it is amazing how long it took me to see that jw's are not god's organization and that their teachings do not really find support in the bible.. now i'm not really sure what i believe.

by ana_dote ini know, i know...it's all part and parcel of the whole fading thing.....but..... i missed a phone call from an unknown number tonight....oddly enough, had this been a few months ago the number would have still been programmed in my phone.
the number was to the kingdom hall i used to attend over a year ago.
i have not set foot in it since probably late april, early may, of 2009. but tonight an elder called.

Is My Co-worker a JW?
by White Dove inin my nervousness, i inadvertently deleted a well thought out post.
here is the short version:.
my co-worker shuns me completely unless i ask him work related questions.. he treats everyone else nicely and jokes with them, but not with me.. he can't bring himself to even look in my direction.. when i walk up to the area he's in, he hightails it to somewhere else.

ocassionally there are going to be personality clashes at work, if you look at it as a personality clash as opposed to trying to analyse whether its do with with religion ,
which if it is its gonna drive you nuts cos you cant do anything about it unless he crosses some sort of work ethic..which if he's addressing you properly as regards work issues hes keeping to terms of employment.
you cant make people to laugh and joke with you just cos they do it with everyone else,
soooo keep it on a purely professional level at all times, and leave him to make his own way to work cos if he doesnt like your company then he doesnt want to get in your car and theres no point spending time cramped in a car with someone who makes you feel uncomfortable.

no more lurking...hello eveyone
by Evidently Apostate inabout a year ago i went through a mild meltdown.
it hit me fast i had panic attacks and became angry with all the control in my life.
(being a jw) i had just found out i was being screwed on a real estate development project by another self righteous jw i have known for a long time but this was a big loss (about 4 months pay plus expenses).
