Are you sick of your job?

i posted this rant on my notes on facebook.

why i have no idea... (maybe because i am reading the facebook effect about that company).. are you sick of your job?.

someone recently told me that i should be glad i have a job.

my last two jobs sounded much like yours, and i tried changing to a different company but it was same shit another place. the fuel costs to and fro were nearly as much i earnt and the wear and tear on my car was a constant expense. the hours were dire.

i count my blessings i got the job i have now even though i fell into it by default, the wages are still low but i dont mind that cos i'm the manager and i'm left to run everything with minimal interference. i also get out of pocket expenses which means i dont have to worry about travel costs so i'm not losing a chunk of my wages.

the first several years they didn't bother me.

i ran into a elder from my former congregation in late 2005 in an antique store - he tried telling me i was wrong for stopping attending meetings.

yup that rings a bell george. i think the if youre already standing thing was so it didnt make a total point of being disrespectful...not that sitting already and making a point of not standing wasnt giving that impression already lol lol

once i'd been thrown out of my home they did come looking/knocking for me at my new lodgings, i said i didnt want to see them or talk to them and my 4' 9" landlady chased them off (down the path and into the street), she was awesome, bit like a pitbull on acid on a pogo stick.

as that didnt work they turned up at my workplace instead. they couldnt see me (i'd seen them already) so they waited by the main doors like a pair of flasher-macked weirdos until i came out of work.

when the national athem came on people would stand, so i guess sitting was to show the difference.

the pictures used to play the national anthem at the end of the show, there was a bit of a rush to get out during the credits so we'd leave then,

though there were a few times where we were somewhere it was played and were the only ones sitting for the duration.

i think the exception would have been if the queen was present in person, then we'd have been allowed to stand out of respect, but she didnt hang in this neck of the woods so i'm not totally sure on that

My kid gets it

so last night my 6 year old tells me that her dad said to her while tucking her in at night "mama is going to die because she caused the divorce, and grandpa wanted mommy to divorce me all the days of his life.".

(my dad left the lie when i was 5, and i left a year ago... and subsequently am almost through with the divorce and the ex is a bitter, ignorant, crazy tempered jw).

so its all our fault, and i am going to die, makes sense.. last night i called up the ex and told him that he was nothing short of a mental pedophile, that you don't tell your daughter her mother is as good as dead, and he needs to knock it off and he is in violation of our anti-disparagement agreement that the courts have insisted on due to the religious and personal strife between us.

when we were jws we were told that death is an enemy but if we were faithful to jehovah, we would be alive always in his eyes.

death wasn't something to be feared.

we were only "sleeping".. do you fear death at this point in your life?

Im finally leaving my jw husband.

some of you know i have struggled with this for awhile.

i really do believe in marriage and the committment, however, sometimes enough is enough.. his endless preaching at me and calling me and my (adult) children satan has me realizing that this situation is not going to get better.

the other day he kicked my son out of the house for wearing a cap, in his car, with a skull on it.

as you've got one of the boys there it is only right you should have some of the furniture, (actually half the stuff shoul be yours anyways) but sometimes fresh furniture makes for a fresh start and at least it doesnt bring bad memories with it.
