  ireland swallows bitter pill, asks eu for loan .

  debt-crippled ireland formally applied sunday for a massive eu-imf loan to stem the flight of capital from its banks, joining greece in a step unthinkable only a few years ago when ireland was a booming celtic tiger and the economic envy of europe.. european union finance ministers quickly agreed in principle to the bailout, saying it "is warranted to safeguard financial stability in the eu and euro area.

  " but all sides said further weeks of negotiations loomed to define the fund's terms, conditions and precise size.. ireland's crisis, set off by its foundering banks, drove up borrowing costs not only for ireland but for other weak links in the eurozone such as spain and portugal.

  do the jw'swant you to not associate non jw's

  my wife became a witness a few yrs after we had gotten married and i was wondering if the jw's believe that they should not socialize with people who are not jw's?i had some neighbors when i was younger and their kids who were close to my age said that that was their beliefs being witnesses.i ask my wife that and she says that isnt true.does it differ from congregation to congregation or is someone trying to cover up something?

  when my jw dad was offered a look at his first grandchild in her pram, his words were 'no point getting attached , be dead soon!'

  i think that pretty much summed up how non/ex jws (armageddon fodder) are viewed.

  Anyone else feel stir crazy??

  so, now that i haven't been to meetings for over a year and i've told my mom and my friends that i'm taking a break i'm feeling a little....stir crazy.

  is that normal?

  i think i read somewhere on this board someone mention they sort of went wild for about 6 months, got it out of their system and then were better.

  and as for being experienced...that isnt always a guarantee of expertise either.

  lol i meant the prospective party not you,

  set your comfort zones and dont let anyone pressure you. being with someone that you're able to laugh together with past an awkward moment helps too.

  dont panic about them leaving you, if theyre even halfway good enough they'll be quite happy to help you get past that.

  and as for being experienced...that isnt always a guarantee of expertise either.

  its an old thread but it may help you to understand that jws feel in no way obliged to give a non jw a truthful answer if they feel its something they don't need to know.
