How do Bethelites show up in the monthly service report?
by truthseeker injust read a post on special pioneers, and it made me think of how bethelites report their time.. if you look at the monthly service report in the km, you don't see stats for bethelites.. they are full time workers for jehovah, but do they count themselves as pioneers or publishers?.
they sure can't be special pioneers (yet!
) as there are over 2,000 of them in the usa alone and the number of special pioneers is just over 200..

Unfortunately I think most JWs will simply sit there and daydream for an hour and go home none the wiser after attending this bookstudy. The desire to question needs to be there first.... at least I found that to be the case with me.

worse part of it for me is, since I gave up conducting (couldn't take the Daniel book) the elder that took over for me is nauseatingly over-positive about everything JW so I am not looking forward to him putting a positive spin on this vomit! Who knows maybe I can stop attending all together before this book starts.

If you still claim to be christian then this scripture says it all:
(John 6:66-69) 66
Owing to this many of his disciples went off to the things behind and would no longer walk with him. 67 Therefore Jesus said to the twelve: "YOU do not want to go also, do YOU?" 68 Simon Peter answered him: "Lord, whom shall we go away to? You have sayings of everlasting life; 69 and we have believed and come to know that you are the Holy One of God."
The WT misapplies this scripture to mean the WTB&TS , in context though it does not, nor ever will mean that. Peter was speaking to Jesus period!

Confidential Elders meetings, HA!
by restrangled inmy father was and elder and i remember him coming home from elder's meetings telling my mother all.
we lived in a small house so all could hear through the heating vents what was happening at the kh.
i learned more than i ever cared to know about at a young age.

Sometimes I think elders tell their wives stuff because there is no one else to talk to about it. Especially when it concerns other elders so you cant talk to them, for example when one elder is attacking you about your ministry etc. The elder arrangement is a sham to me anyway so who cares.
