  The GREEN-colored and the GREY-colored Bibles...

  green was, with the druids, a symbol of hope and the virtue of hope with a freemason illustrates the hope of immortality.

  in all the ancient mysteries, this idea was carried out, and green symbolized the birth of a new world, the moral creation of the initiate.

  hence the new world translation of the holy scriptures.. on the other hand, the color grey in high-ranking freemasonry is said to simbolize a 7-year period of tribulation and turmoil.. given the masonic origins of the watchtower bible & tract society, it's quite possible that the worldwide masonic powers to be have already set in motion the wheels of "tribulation" which started with the government shutdown in the us and will end with a zionist objective that we are yet to see 7 years from now..

  At newboy school we were told that the bible was green as were(are) the trim around the factory building windows because that was Knorr's favorite color. Grey, Losch's color...who the fcuk knows or cares.

  she downloaded the jw library app which has the parallel versions of a verse, and upon looking at john 17:3, she said the above to me.

  i wonder if this will start causing chinks in the armor for many jws, especially when they look up john 14:14 or rev.

  I actually turned to this scripture first when I got the NNWT, I was shocked but also pleased that yes finally its translated correctly.

  I'll play devils advocate and say that I don't mind the grey colour. Need all bibles be your typical black? No. Let's focus on attacking the reasons for this revision and the content rather than nit picking on the appearance.

  I understand all your points but remember this is a cult, they change things to suit their peculiar beliefs... so why change it in the first place is my point. It was understood in their old rendering. BTW they do consider oral as a deviant sexual act and there is a "dont ask dont tell" policy more or less regarding it. I mean if they consider it to be a homosexual act if say a straight man desperate for a BJ pays a gay prostitute for one then why make it that complicated isnt it all just porniea anyway? This change was specific: submit to homosexual act... very strange

  ...but it struck me as significant anyway.. i attended at a jw assembly hall, and was sitting behind a pretty typical jw family.

  2 kids about ages 8 & 5, frazzled hen-pecked husband, and....the mom.

  I am thinking new Insight volumes as well. So many changes since 1988 plus most of the Insight was copied from the old AID book and that was written by one of the "evil slave" so they may want to further distance themselves.

  i'm not sure what wenr into my mother deciding to send me this email.

  i am just sick, and sick and sick of her treating my children and me like we don't matter.

  she sent this message, and when i replied she told me it was a joke and then rejected my invitation to lunch, since they'd already made plans with their friends who are moving to the different congregation.

  Re. Rearranging: They often do this at the suggestion of the CO or DO. Typically because there are issues on elder bodies or not enough elders or ministerial servants. Also could be due to small attendance which is the case in many congregations in my area.
