When you were really "in", did you have a pet idea that would steer wt into divine favor?
by prologos inwt writers ( klein) admitted at one time, that his majesty's doctrinal ship was zigzagging to find the right course, and many of us believed, that if we accepted the bible as true, cleaning up the teachings would establish the right bearing.
so: did you have a hobby-horse idea you were riding?
writing to brooklyn perhaps?

Where is the Rebel.
by The Rebel inwho cares?.
the first time i was in distress with the watchtower, i was fortunate to find this place.
my ego thought ,i was somehow special, that my posts were reaching a worldwide audience, and most of all i felt at ease, maybe home is a better word.

what sort of reactions have you gotten when talking to other jw when telling them the "truth about the truth"?
by AmIright inits funny ive read some stories on here about how they have become so infuriated by what logic dictates as being true and their own denying of it because it completely screws up their belief and shows how hypocritical it is xd some look like a nuclear reactor about to blow xd.
share you experiences here :) .

I've talked to quite a few over the years about different things and the reason I left. Half of them were elders and the others either knocked at my door or asked me questions.
I have found it best to limit the scope of the conversation to just one point. Some have been irritated. One, an elder had been quite friendly but that ended after we discussed the trinity.
The last person I discussed being a witness and being convinced of it. Didn't seem that they were.

Any thought behind your " Avatar"
by The Rebel ini think that's the correct phrase?
anyway when i first came here, that little picture that "the rebel" hides behind, was a self portrait of a very sad man, who simply had too much knowledge.
now i feel after 7 months here, i should repaint that " avetor" give some happiness to the eyes, and a contented smile to the lips.. in short my " avetor" was a self portrait of a man with too much knowledge.

A world without religion? Any different?
by punkofnice ini wonder what it would be like, without any religion in the world?
i don't think it would be like 'imagine' by lennon.. i don't believe it will ever happen.
even if it did, people are the same.

I'm still scared of the dark. Yeah the hall always felt a safe place. I could still go there now it wouldn't be any different from all the years I attended. Most would ignore me like normal. -

Any here who didn't rebel as a teenager and were a goody two shoes instead?
by purrpurr inwhen i was a teenager in the borg i was a dyed in the wool, goody two shoes, squeaky clean,"spiritual " sister.
alot of my peers around me were rebelling and going off the rails but not me.
i was constantly praised for this and even felt a little smug about it ha!.

I think it depends how you define 'rebel as a teenager'.
My father commented before he passed away that we had been good kids and hadn't caused them any worry. I could never bring myself to commit fornication or adultery. I always turned it down. Drunkenness and needing dental work was accidental it wasn't rebellion. I rebelled against my father with the music that I listened to. He didn't think we should listen to any music produced by people with long hair, which ruled out the Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Yes, Pink Floyd,Genesis, Alice Cooper, ELP, Queen, Humble Pie, etc. that I had and he didn't know about, but the neighbours did when he was out. I did rebel in my attitude toward the truth in some ways although I pioneered. I wouldn't say I was a goody two shoes and felt I probably wouldn't survive Armageddon. However I always and still do think I done my best.
