Would you condone abortion?

today i questioned my mother about the fact that she told me ?

yrs ago how she lost 2 kids through a miscarriage but then later told me she aborted them,well i didnt know what to say, but then later questioned her about this i asked her why she did it, she told me that she was already bringing up me and my sister and financialy impossible to look after two more kids,well i didnt agree with that reason or any reason to kill the unborn she then said she wasnt in the truth then "huh what difference does that make".

then she gave an illustration of reasons when you should condone abortion and it goes like this, if you were raped and later found out you were pregnant what would you do she seemed to say she would abort it,i said i wouldnt if that happened to my wife i said i would probably end up having it adopted,after all its better than murder.. how has this affected my familys view on abortion i wonder, well i have 5 sisters and 1 more brother,and already my brother in cold blood made his girlfriend abort hers due to the inconvienience,and also my older sister had hers aborted 2 yrs ago because the father didnt want to know with out a hint of regret,so im now starting to see a pattern in my family,whos to blame them or my mother as a role model.. so to cut a long story short do you think killing an unborn child is murder,would you do it under certain scenarios.

This is a pathetic subject, as folks will never agree on it.

Personally, I think a woman deserves the right to choose. Period. It's her who will experience the pain and risks of labor, and it's her who will likely be stuck with the kid in the fairly common event that the irresponsible man can't hold down a job flipping burgers.

For those who disagree with this, the question is are you willing to care for the unwanted children that would be produced if abortion were illegal? Most such children would likely become additional participants in our criminal justice system. Sometimes we need to use common sense instead of irrational thought produced from years of digesting hogfeed at meetings.

ok...3 days ago, i found out that i was going to be a father!!

well then she says that she is considering having an abortion...which i am totally against....so we discussed it...then she started to think that she might have the child....so she talked it over with her twin sister...and she told her to get the abortion...now she says she wants the abortion...now i am upset...not onlly does she want the abortion...but she wants me to pay for the entire thing...so not only am i going to be terminating a developing life...but i have to pay for it????

To all here who think it is incumbent upon Quincy to change his girlfriend's mind about the abortion:

Quincy's girlfriend should not be subjected to pressure from anyone on this issue. Quincy has made his viewpoint clear to her, and he ought to butt out of what amounts to a personal decision for her. It isn't Quincy who will have to experience the physical risks and pains of labor, and it isn't Quincy who will likely be stuck with the child in the event their relationship doesn't work out.

Quincy, you made a mistake, and now you've tried to put a guilt trip on your girlfriend because her ideas on how to deal with it differ from yours. Your irresponsibility created the problem, and you ought to be more considerate of your girlfriend, because in my opinion, the situation is entirely your fault. Hopefully you'll learn from this mistake and become more responsible in the future.

One other point for Quincy, if you have trouble paying for the cost of an abortion, how do you expect to be able to support a child?

Finally, I'd appreciate your analysis of this scriptural quote; are you saying that the bible predicted that the Watchtower Society would put dollars over the interests of the children forced by their parents to perform uncompensated marketing services that benefit the Watchtower corporate entities?

THE DILEMMA FACING APOSTATES

the dilemma facing apostate jehovahs witnesses, or apostate dubs, as i have dubbed them, (no pun intended) is the very fact of their seeming success.

one of the great ironies of the apostate movement, that presumptuously boasts of "know the truth about the truth," is that apostates themselves are bound by the watchtower's own interpretive shortcomings, and hence are massively ignorant of jehovahs judicial decisions regarding his organization.

in that the presumption in operation is that if enough scandal and error can be brought to light regarding the governing body, the watchtower society's teachings, as well as individual jehovah's witnesses, then that somehow means that jehovah's witnesses have no connection with jehovah god.

Annointed ones don't have "hope," they have delusions that god contacted them and told them they were part of the annointed crowd. They are in need of psychological/psychiatric help.

Where is my hope? I never really thought about it, Fred. I guess I hope that after I croak I don't have to use a litterbox like you.

having milled around this board for a little while, and getting to know the odd poster a tad better, one (at least i do) gets to wondering what some of you do for work.... i work installing custom hardwood flooring and ceramic tiles, with the odd wc renovation, and was going to start a career last year in avionics, but our friend osama put my plans on the backburner, until (or if) the canadian industry returns to normal.

i am considering going to university to further my photography skills, and am currently (and very slowly) working on a pictorial book that i hope to be published by the time i am 95. oh, and i devote 87643 hours of service to yhwh each month.. your turn.... .

Alas, 'tis true, I only dreamed of having that job, because it has already been taken by someone who calls herself "Imbue." All this damned affirmative action results in qualified men being denied good jobs like that one because they are filled by women like Imbue. No fair! Foul! I'm gonna call my congressman.

BTW, Imbue, do you care to tell us how much you're enjoying those fringe benefits?
