  some here have had the bonus of their mate leaving with them.

  unfortunately, my wife is die-hard.

  everything in the org makes sense and if it don't, thats fine too.

  I can certainly appreciate the comments made. I never wanted to even entertain the thought of infidelity.

  As far as bethel, we live in a bethel area (as in when i go to lunch from work, i always see bethelites at the resteraunts.) So they are in our cong. We get a new bro/couple every month as temps and they end up getting extended to about a year. And we have some higher ups n our hall also, and they keep asking us to put ur apps in even to commute, especially given my skills. So she's very optimistic about it. They are downsizing in general, but they need a LOT of work done, with no room for workers.

  She does not want a divorce at all(me neither), she wants me to to "stick with Jehovah". But i know we will start to seriously clash over this soon...

  Should i break up???

  i need advice specially from those wise women and men from this forum, who has been in a relationship for long time.

  here is my situation, i am dating a guy for 4 months now and everything was going smooth, but since a month ago , he is been going out with some friends.... my boyfriend only has 2 full days off during the month , every other sunday, last day off he went all day with his friends to the beach and i was ok with that, but today he is calling me to ask me if i am ok with him going with his friends again all day to the beach.

  we dont go out that much and maybe we go out one time a week and is for dinner or something like that, i dont think of myself as clingy but i dont like this pattern...... should i break up?

  Well, if men still need time for themselves to relax and kick it with the guys. Thats healthy. But I agree that you should be first priority. If he doesn;t view it as such, find out why. Even the most macho men get giddy even with the thought of being with the girls we love. Trust me.

  Talk to him about it, and see if it changes.

  As far as sinning, thats the only way she can move on and do EVERYTHING she wants to do. You know how that will hinder her unless she has legal and scriptural grounds for divorce. I have no intent nor desire to sin, but I feel like I can take the hit only because I wont have men to answer to.

  I am sorry to hear that, AM.

  I have talked to her about it, and she listens and makes excuses for everything and believe everything the org tells her. I just haven't made it known to anyone else. I still go to meetings and we talk about the good points, but when I ask a question or anything that sounds even remotely close to negative about to society, she shows her die hardness, because she thinks she "knows" where it going. Even if its legit, like if the speaker says "the society says" 10 times but opens the Bible once during the entire 30 minutes. She say "Yes I noticed, I know where this is going, drop it".

  At first i thought she was slowly coming around but still in denial stage. I'd ask a question she couldnt answer or show some obvious flaw in a WT, and she would remain silent. Over time, I thought at least a little progress was made.

  Last week I asked if she thought I was mentally diseased or is there something wrong with me. She said no, but I lost faith in the org Jah is using. Then we discussed just one of my main issues and she stated she is going nowhere, but could see us at Bethel or serving somewhere in 5 years. So i realized she is still die hard. Not even a crack as of yet.

  But we are both going in different directions, she knows it and i know it.

  Some here have had the bonus of their mate leaving with them. Unfortunately, my wife is die-hard. Everything in the org makes sense and if it don't, thats fine too. She wants to go to Couples school and/or Bethel badly. I can barely hang on without going crazy, much less "progress" in the org.

  I honestly cringe at the thought of adultery, because I love her to death, and I am aware God is not pleased with it. So, how have some of you coped with a similiar situation?

  I am hurting her and will be hindering her from her goals for LIFE, but my fronting will only be possible for a very short period of time (not according to WT definition). I want her to be happy and be free to do everything she wants.

  Talk about a silent scream.

  Why have you remained theists?

  i realize many on this forum are atheist, and theres many threads to show why.

  some believe creationist lack knowledge or understanding and that we are too ignorant to realize there isn't a creator.. i have studied (not in depth) first year college science, and am studying medical/health currently.

  i am also very interested in astronomy, and have learned a little in that area.

Everything I've learned is so profound and amazing and leaves so many questions that I feel God HAS to be responsible. Science is good for understanding, but I dont think God can be limited to science, since He set the rules, laws, and everything else in motion. I am still learning, but even with all I do understand, it makes my belief in a Creator stronger. Just a little but into my brain, but for those whom are still theistic...

  What is it that keeps God real to you?

  And whats your view on the Bible? And which version/translation do you use?

  If no Bible, which holy book(s) do you use?

  Not interested in debate, I am REALLY interested in these things...

  the watchtower constantly talks about elders doing everything "in love" and being reasonable and balanced, and not being masters over their brothers' faith (hypocritically).. but when elders receive specific direction from co and training from schools and letters, they go over mostly procedures, procedures, rules, how to obey the gb and if the friends dont like it, too bad because its from jah's organization.

  But when elders receive specific direction from CO and training from schools and letters, they go over mostly procedures, procedures, rules, how to obey the GB and if the friends dont like it, too bad because its from Jah's organization. And procedures. So they are trained to go by the book, and if love CAN be shown, cool. But if it interferes with direction, then procedures come first.

  Therefore, when dealing with friends, the friends get the legal unattached version of the elders. So when the articles come out about how elders should behave, it makes the elders seem like jerks and the ever so faithful slave seem reasonable and loving (when behind closed doors, elders get pats on the back for handling things the best way, which is, by the book. F everyone who complains about it).

  My point is, does it seem that the GB makes the elders the scapegoat of enforcing unloving blind procedures, to make themselves look better?

  Is it me, or does it seems like instead of following Bible, GB goal is just to make members opposite everyone else?
