Jesus didn't wait for Jehovah to turn the tables over, nor show the Pharisees and scribes they were wrong. Jesus seen things wrong and acted. I agree with truth_b_known.

How come you have to wait on Jehovah? Shouldn't he be faster than you?
by dgp inif jehovah created the universe, knows it all, et cetera, and then he has a direct line to the governing body, how come you're always told to "wait on jehovah"?
can a simple earthling be faster in his or her reasoning than yhwh?
can s/he notice something jehovah will miss?.

How did you answer?
by Silent_Scream inwhen you were an active jw, and was approached by a question there was no answer for, how did you respond?
defending beliefs we felt had to be true but no real answer society never addresses.
how ridiculous were (y)our responses?.

For example:
Him: Why is oral sex wrong among married people?
Me: It's not what the organs were created for.
(Circular convo....)
Him: Ok but why does it matter what a married couple does in their private time?
Me: God sees everything.
Him: Why is it wrong in the eyes of your God?
Me: Its like using a cutting knife to kill someone instead of cutting meat.
LOL! I can't believe he wasn't humble enough to accept the truth (sarcasm).

Anonymous: As a person believing solidly in creation, I still enjoy studying science very much. I 've never felt it was sufficient to stop learning simply because God is the answer. But I do feel science explains, not defines.
I agree with the notion that they can and do coexist. Bible has been marred and changed through time, and as advanced as science is, there is still a lot to learn. So they cant be looked at exclusively. Upon each new discovery, there is 100 more questions asked, and upon each one being answered, more questions.
Relying on science isn't the best because of that reason, and humans are still very limited. Thousands of new species are discovered daily, and things the most scientific and brightest minds agree on will be refuted with more advancement in science in the future.
Science can't explain feelings, such as a mother's love which is what even animals posess. Science can't explain how does life start, which is why we have to settle for IBM's Watson despite the fact that satelittes outside the earth can read your newspaper along with you is old news. How else can it be explained?

I read things from this site years before I was out, and I would do research in the publications to give me apostate ammunition. I had a very close friend become apostate. And I would refute his ideas and feel stronger and stronger about my stance. Then after I noticed serious problems, I checked this out earlier this year and was like WOW. So it's not just me.
And that "never say anything negative about the society" was seen right through at first glance. I dont agree with some posts, but truth always prevail. Whether i want it to be true or not.
What REALLY stuck out to me was a very old thread about 10 years ago, stating Jehovah's organization was responsible for killings prophets, built a golden calf, killing Jesus, and listed many other atrocities FROM THE BIBLE. That helped me to the men in Brooklyn in perspective, NOT INFALLIBLE. once that foundation is tore down, it makes it all so much easier. I gotta find that thread....

For Mankkeli and other apologists
by JeffT ini thought i'd throw this out here again after reading the post quoting the wt article about returning to god.
the problem with all such articles is, the governing body/watchtower/jw's are not god.
leaving a human organization is not leaving god, nor is going back to it returning to god.

N.Drew - I was speaking WTS lingo. anything in opposition to those 7 men in brooklyn is apostasy, no matter how much info yoiu actually ge from the Bible
Mary - I think GB should be a very top, and the faithful slave should be at very bottom. When Jesus asked "Who really is the faithful slave", he was asking according to WTS because since they have no say in anything, but supposedly they are put in charge, everyone is wondering, who really are they? lol.
and if theres a 70 year old anointed sister in the hall, she's under the authority of a 13 year old baptized brother.
