CuriousUK - There are a ridiculous amounts of man-made rules, but there are MORE unwritten rules. It gives people a guide to judge you with...
1) No facial hair for men, mustaches acceptable
2) No dress slacks for sisters
3) Only earrings for sisters, no other piercings
4) Read and underline every WT before every WT study
5) Put the organization first (not actual worship of Jehovah, but anything that will contribute to the organization and their name/motives)
....it's endless...

I remember Anthony Morris III from GB telling us new-boy bethelites if we don't want to lead a woman on, don't text her more than 2wice a day, otherwise, it's considered dating. And it will be held against us if we are accused of such. He said it in a non-threatening tone, but he was very serious.
Some elders will not take it so seriously, but company men will. So most people simply keeps it private.
If you read any article on Pharisees, anyone here can attest you will see the striking similarites between them and the elders/GB. (Because of the constant rule-making and nitpicking.)

BETHELITES - Whatever Became of?
by Black Man ini often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.
while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).
a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.

Gilber Nazaroff - Currently an overserr Purchasing in WTF. Does WT study at times. Can be compared to James Bond.
Gary Davis - Works in scheduling in the printery at WTF. One of the Larson's right hand men.
Ralph Walls - US Branch Committee, Bethel Office Overseer, helper to the GB
John Ekrann - US Branch Committee, oversee of IT Department
Roberta Little - Grounds maintainence at WTF. Widow
Richard Devine - Harold Corkerns'(US Branch Committee) right hand man. A Maintainance/Const. Overseer
Tom and Sunny Cheiky - Both at WTF. He's Assistant Overseer of Printery, conducts morning worship & WT. A Wallkill heavy soon to be Bethel heavy. She works in laundry.
Joe Neiderhieser - Art Department in Patterson
Matt Oleman - Shipping Office overseer @ WTF
Corey Petersen - Treasurer Department in BK
Ryan Carlsen - Commuter Bethelite at WTF. Lives close by. An elder/pioneer. In photography business.
Tommy Hegge - In construction department. Not sure which one. Married. His mother recently died of cancer. Father remarried.
Dan Molchan - Helper to GB in one of those 6 committees
Rayfords - He's a heavy at WTF. Bethel Office. He does Morning Worship and WT Study. He was the one on the sound bit circulating at an assembly in Texas telling GB secrets or something. A few years back. She's a WTF too.
Ralph Jackson - WTF in Purchasing Dept.
Tartaglia's (husb and wife) - Both still at WTF
Randy Babbitt - Was reassigned out of Bethel. Went to MTS, then got sent to UTAH. Then he and two other bethel-reassigned MTS grads all got sent to a congregation in Mississippi, in which they deleted the entire body of elders and took over.
Others mentioned I haven't heard of, but I must mention all people listed here I like. They are cool. Some more company than others, but I had no bad run-ins with any of them. (until they find out im an 'postate according to their terms).

by BreathoftheIndianNose inand things are within a week or two of being d.a.ed/d.f.ed, and my jw best friend sent me an email to check how i was doing.
i was fairly sure that he was very much on the edge of leaving to, or at least that he didn't believe it for a long time.
so i sent him an email in reply and told him basically everything i believed and the reasons i knew jws are not the true religion, and i also told him i was leaving.
