From a currently serving elder: an open letter to the organization
by elderelite inthere are 1000's who who hate this religion who are stuck ....inside it.
we work against you, we use our position to convince and sway those that still drink your koolaid.
we feed info to authorities who chase you, we warn off potiential converts by directing them to the real truth.

What do you think of that As Witnesses you are taught not to believe in fate/predestination/serendipity or whatever you wish to call it. What do you think about that sort of thing now? Examples would be nice too.

shucks, where's Blondie this week?
by stillin ini don't see her review of today's study article.
the "experience" of the person who was shunned by his family until he got himself reinstated really bothered me.
no mention of repentance, no mention of his wanting to restore worship of jehovah back into his life.

The last subheadding was called being loyal to Jehovah (or something like that) and it was all about how to shun disfellowsiped family/friends... nothing about how to stay loyal to god.

As my user name suggests, I tend to over think a lot and I have pretty low self confidence, I tend to question most decisions I make hoping they are “right”, this winter I went through a lot emotionally when I found out the truth about the “truth” even trying anti depressants and therapy, but for the first time in a long while I have an inner peace…although I’m still an active publisher I have scaled down quite a bit, only doing service every two weeks or so and I really stopped studying WT publications all in all I think I’m taking bay steps to freedom but unfortunately over thinking gets to me and I question whether I’m making the right choices or a major mistake, lately I have been having OMG movements thinking maybe they are right and I am wrong…so I need a little encouragement

What do you hope to accomplish with your life?
by slimboyfat ingiven we are not going to live forever, none of us knows when our time is up, and meaning isn't handed to us on a plate?
how do we go about inscribing our lives with meaning within unknown constraints of time and resources?.
have you got a strategy?

I have thought about this a lot...I do want to get married and have children, I just don't want to raise kids that are enslaved to WT...Now just have to somehow work my way out of this cult..

Children sining song 120
by lostinthought inhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8wpvvzcxwc.
.
i don't know if anyone posted this yet, but the kids singing this song made me even more sick to my stomach then some parts of the viedo, i hate this song because you know what they mean by "listen obay and be blessed" - translation: you must listen to the governing body or else!.

Active Bethelites, former Bethelites, is it true that brothers are not allowed to have their head fully shaved?
by La Falta Habitacion Por Sr Hor-Hey!! ini just heard this directly from a circuit heavyweight i had the displeasure of conversing with recently.
he and i got into a little bit of a heated conversation about following the direction of the slave as related to education, and he used the example of bethelites being prohibited from having fully shaved heads.
he was taken aback when i expressed how utterly ridiculous such a policy was/is.

I feel sorry for the poor guys with the big bald spot and the hair on the sides, wearing your hair like that makes you look much older...

I Loved the fact that the overseer told me I woked well, but I needed to show more "initiative" - translation you must work harder!!! I thought I was giving them enough being that I was free labor.

R&F Rumblings
by biometrics inso i had a good conversation wth my brother, who i thought was a devout jw.
he eventually asked "are you going to the meetings?
", i said "no" then he said "why not, you know we're near the end".

I feel for this guy, I too was told I was ready for baptisim at 12, what does a 12 year old know? I was able to answer all the baptisim questions cause of all the indocternation I recieved from my early childhood till the age of 12, but was I ready to dedicate my life to an orginization?? Nope. Then you have the fear of leaving family and hardly any non witness friends so I over think the situation, "If I go, who whould be my support system" yes, the WT truly has a way of messing people up...

National Teachers appreciation week
by lostinthought ini know that there were a few threads on nures' week, but before this week ends, it's also national teachers week also!
i respect all the nurses( i almost became one) but i found my true calling in education.
it was my job that helped me "wake up" to the truth about the "truth"...it was working with children (and some adults) on a daily basis that helped me to see not all wordly people are bad.. say thank you to a teacher tomorrow!.
