  New Rumor - Watchtower and Awake in one magazine only?

  hi folks!.

  someone told me that there is a rumor that soon the watchtower and awake's magazines will be only one (fusion).. anybody knows something concrete about that, or is only rumor instead?.

  at a recent series of circuit assemblies, the governing body put out warnings on what in their view is the latest danger from satan, designed to break the faith of jehovah's witnesses everywhere.. facebook.. yes, thats right, apparantly, the gb is concerned because a lot of people are having "facebook sex".

  they are meeting old friends who aren't jehovah's witnesses and getting it on with whomever would willingly sleep with them.

  evidentally, the gb would like their flock to believe that when jw's get on facebook and other social networking sites, fornication happens.. now, this is news.

  They fear everything that provides knowledge.

  Higher Education and the internet are their biggest enemies.

  There aren't any more corners for them to hide in so they lash out at anything they see as a threat.

  The internet throws light on them and they do not like that.

  You are quite correct.

  Learning about the history of the Church was the main thing that threw me out of the Watchtower.

  I quickly realized that the way the WTS is set up makes it a weak imitation of the Catholic Church and lacks any real credibility or authenticity.

  This is the real reason why the Witnesses fear the Catholic Church so.

  And their insecurity is the only reason they constantly slander and discredit it.

  I am not Catholic but I am inteligent and well informed enough to know that it is the only Church which can trace its history back to the Apostles.

  Every other avenue of Christianity is just a breakaway.

  Whether or not they were right to break away is a hotly debated topic and an argument I won't engage in.

  i feel like jehovah has cursed me some days and others i feel he is using me to direct others out the front and back door of our kingdom hall.

  here's my update on our perfect congregation, we are losing publishers monthly with meeting attendance down below one hundred during the weekday meeting.

  should i feel guilty for mistreating the miserable mentally ill and chronically ill publishers who are milking the public welfare system, nto because they do not deserve anything better but because they bring only their appetite to our spiritual banquet while we elderettes study the watchtower and wow the publishers with our thirty second polished comments to bring praise to jehovah.

  I wish you luck.

  I had a head-on collision course with common sense and reason a long time ago so its too late for me.

  Shador, are you really the magazine serpent....and you are on here? I'm constantly amazed at how many very active Witnesses are here.

  I also was the magazine serpent a few years ago. What a privilege, dispensing all that spiritual food at the proper time.

  How blessed was I.

  In the end I just dispensed with all of it.

  Anyway, the new magazine; The Awatchtaker perhaps?

  That does not mean that I approve of what the Morons teach.

  No intelligent person could ever believe in such ridiculous nonsense (I'm being polite).

  You are just following power hungry individuals who crave your unquestioning loyalty to fill their coffers and, more importantly, feed their ego.

  You insist on evidence from science but you refuse to provide any evidence to supplement your own beliefs/ideas, obviously because none exists.

  To even preach to any intelligent person about Moronism is a gross insult to their capacity to reason...

  and their sense of smell for that matter - yes, in other words their teaching is nothing more than a waste product from a warped and twisted mind attracting ever more flies.

  Yes, that is insulting. Get over it and grow up.

  Out-grow the false teachings of those to whom you have enslaved yourself.

  The world can never move on while persons such as you stubbornly cling to such primitive, superstitious falsehoods for which there is no evidence or logic.

  Even as we speak, science is striving to find a cure for cancer, heart desease, dementia and so on, the list is endless. And all the while I hear from religious persons who are obsessed with saving their own arse while undermining the credibility of scientific findings and theories which only serve to increase our capacity to understand and progress.
