Personally, I enjoyed giving talks very much as I am particular about knowing my subject inside-out. I used to love standing in at the last minute to cover for other brothers who were sick or late as this was a real challenge and would test my knowledge and personal study. I loved the adrenaline rush and the on-the-spot pressure that it incurred.

What Does Keeping The Congregation Clean Mean To The Governing Body?

now we all know how the governing body hates any defecters from watchtower corporation's control.

listening, obeying, and be spared alive from jehovah's wrath blah blah blah has become their new mantra sung to a liltingly slowly moving indoctrinatingly booring tune taylor made to dull the mind and not sharpen it.. so uncleaness that the congregation need to be kept clean from are things like people who celibrate birthdays, mother's day, christmas, even if you go to another church and participate the congregation needs to be cleaned from your pesents.. no gay couples, no crossdressers, no masterbaiters(they make sky daddy real sad), definately no children bringing wizzard like toys to the kingdom hall to play with(jehovah considers these an afront to his sovereignty and make him sad, striaght dope from the gb who know what jehovah feeling at all times).

ipads and other electronic devices are ok but might bring in some uncleaness especially if they watching videos of hot looking brothers signing on and on about not touching those private spots and getting all horny and stuff because jehovah don't want to be looking down from heaven and see one of his worshippers masterbaiting because he's been deprived of the experience because he's god and he ain't got no wife nor anybody to work his dingaling, he don't even ease nature at all until he has a relevation climax or something repressing all that sexual energy can make you mean i hear.. and no apostate material or looking up web sites critical of the governing body while at the kindon hall meeting facility.. no idols, visible tattoos, child molesters.. person stealing money from the contribution box, they are very unclean and considered a judas of sorts.. .

the best conjecture seems to be that the gb are going to drop the literal 144,000 teaching, especially in view of the december watchtower that pointedly does not mention the 144,000 number.

if they are dropping the literal 144,000 number, but still claim that only a small number are anointed, and can partake, and that only a few are left on earth, then it is fair to ask what has really changed?

they are simply clearing up the embarrassing situation that there were obviously more than 144,000 "anointed" believers from 36 ad until now, and that the number of partakers has been increasing in recent years.

I have been following this thread over the last couple of days and have been thinking about the implications if such a doctrinal change should take place. All those poor people who have been labelled as 'apostates' for believing the number 144000 to be symbolic!!!

I do hope you are correct sbf because if you are, it will make them look very silly indeed!

Yes, I had a conversation one morning with a Born Again Christian who had previously been a member of the Plymouth Bretheren. She told me that I seemed very genuine and sincere and should examine the Bible more closely and that I should leave the WT$ for exactly the same reasons that she had left the PB.

I have to admit, those were early days for me but I told her that I did agree with a lot of what she was saying. A few fellow witnesses who had been listening to our conversation looked more than a little concerned when I finally rejoined them.

Much water has passed under the bridge since then and I would love to talk to that kind lady again.

For all the people on here who are anti SUV, some of us need an SUV because of where we live (due to flooding and snow etc. or as a work vehicle). The road tax on my 4x4 is now over £500 per annum!!!

I'm punished for living where I do and for having a profession that requires that I drive accross rough terrain. I guess they would like us all to drive tiny cars but that is simply not an option for me.

Trust me, I would love to walk to work but until I can semi-retire that will not happen.

Yes indeed, there is a lot of money being made from so called 'carbon tax' and still we have more pot-holes than ever because the money does not get used for what it is intended.

And what the hell has road tax got to do with emissions anyway???

This is a rediculous idea formulated by the last Labour government and is in fact just another feature of their 'class war' which was waged on people living in the countryside who drive SUV's and ride their horses.

Good riddance to them (New Labour) and may they never return!!!
