my sis is picking me up sometime around 3:15 pm which is a few minutes or so.. i came to the library today to meet a representative from the voc rehab for an orientation and got an appointment to see someone for new hearing aids on april 23rd at 11 am at the goodwill building here in town.. i also got a hold of an attorney who advised me to file a motion of continious or postponement until i am able to confer with a legal representative about my eviction case.. so i have typed one up here at the library and not sure if i got it all down right, my sis knows what the attorney needs for me to do so i will check and make sure that i got it right through here and make any corrections if she feels it needs any.. the court date is supposed to be this wednesday at 9 am, so hopefully my motion is granted before then.. pretty much all i have to say.. wish me luck!.

I understand the concern that many on this board feel regarding Yiz. I do not know if his plight is real or a ploy. But what concerns me is his depression. The point I'm trying to make is - Does it hurt anyone posting on this board to be nice to Yiz. Even if his story is made up, it still doesn't hurt anything to be NICE to him. No one likes to be insulted and called names.

For the sake of his depression - please do not post mean-spirited words of insult to Yiz. He has enough stress in his life right now.

If he is playing a game with us - what has anyone lost by being NICE to him anyway??

If his plight is real, being NICE to him will lift his spirits a bit, and we still have not lost anything.

well folks, i am posting from the library since my phone got disconnected last week friday.

so i may not be able to read any replies here when i leave the computer.

He claims to live in a small town with no bus service. From what I understand, the closest town is Anderson, which is about 30 minutes away by car. A small town does not usually offer much in the way of employment opportunities.

His sister has to pick him up in her car to take him to the library to do the research now. So that is NOT within walking distance. W/O email, communicating with his sister is made more difficult. That was why his internet conection was so important to him. It was his link to the outside world, like the telephone is for the hearing.

I don't believe anyone who finds themselves without transportation and no employement would apprieciate getting advice to get rid of the phone. But there were some on JWD who told Yiz to get rid of his internet access. It was to those ones, that my original post was addressed.

Also one cannot expect someone to devote their entire waking hours to solving the employment situation. One DOES need a little time to relax and try to get their mind off of their depressing situation.

Brummie: "Newlight why dont you just send this guy some money?"

I WOULD send him some money through the Salvation Army fund, but I have none to give. I have an elderly Mother and her sister, my aunt, who also need money. I cannot even afford to give them extra. As for my own finances - I am not able to make both ends meet, myself. I'm in sales and the winter months are the slowest time. It always picks up durng the spring and summer months. But THAT is my own business. I'm not asking for any help from the internet or this board.

My purpose on this forum is GIVE - not get. Usually, I am able to help others through information that I know, not by giving money.

To all those who posted negative comments re: Yiz's internet access:

1. Yiz no longer has a car to provide transportaion to look for employment

2. Yiz no longer has a phone line to connect to the internet

3. How is Yiz going to make contact with his sister to provide needed transportation to look for a job without emailing her?

4. How is Yiz going to hear from employers regarding interviews since he no longer has email into his home?

5. Well I guess that Yiz can just start walking every place he needs to go, even if it is 10 to 20 miles away from his home. Yeah Right.

I hope all of you Naysayers are happy now that Yiz can no longer communicate with the outside world from his home.

what bible is true?

as most of you know my hubby is in the jw.

cult and every morning he reads his daily text.i asked why he needed that daily dont you know how to conduct yourself from day to day?he goes on to say ..it's bible passages,i said why not read the bible..he say's this text breakes it down and makes the daily reading easier ,read it see for yourself.well i did just that i read passages in it and checked what it said to a bible.

hum o'k it matches his bible but this other bible my daughter gave me from her lutherin church it's different which one do i believe?when asking my hubby he said all bibles change some words so it's easier to understand but ,the new world translation, is the closest there is to the origional.my question what bible is right, what bible can i use to compare that he would see his is wrong.one that is non denominational that suits a certain religion.

filling a vacuum

since i've faded i've felt at rather a loss for filling the vacuum of personal study.

i've been working on my own bible reading and study schedule.

at the moment i'm reading a chapter a day (not much i know) from romans right thru to revelation, and a story a day from the greatest man book (i really like this publication as i feel it is helping me just focus more on jesus and helps to de-emphasis the closeness to a man-made organisation).
