Hi, and Welcome to JWD!
You might be able to use the following outline to study with her using only the Bible. If she will agree, I'd use any other Bible but the NWT.

"We only believe what the Bible says" or Help Refute a Common JW Claim
by Check_Your_Premises ini am presently trying to get my wife to not drink the kool-aid (get baptized).
i have been pointing out to her that her and all jw beliefs come from the interpretation of scripture provided by the gb, and the inherent problems/contradictions therof.
they say something like, "we don't put the gb on a pedestal or anything, we believe what we believe because it is in the bible, not because the gb is telling us to believe it.".

Sorry for your loss, Ken. It's too bad that the JW religion separates so many from family and friends like they do.

Jules,
I'm so sorry for your loss! Yes, JW's can be horrible an very insensitive to non-JW's or the DF'd. My advice is to stay away from the KH, there is NO love there for you. Stay around on this board. Many have found comfort here!
Here are some web pages that will allow you to see the JW doctrine for what it really is. The Jw's are a false Mind-Control CULT.

These two contain many links to important information regarding the Watchtower Society.

Hi and welcome to JWD!
Just tell them that you have been reading ASPOSTATE sites on the INTERNET and that you would like to show some of these sites to THEM at your next study.
I'll bet that they will RUN, Run and Run away from you so fast you'll hardly see their tails behind them!

watchtower red flags
by Ticker inwhen i was studying and in the org i never did put two and two together becuase first off it was peer pressure and a young baptism age.
i was indoctrinated as a child so i never got a chance to ever use sound reason and judgement toword the validity of the society's claims.
but anywho i was thinking the other day about certain things that are obvious red flags and far fetched claims that the org makes.

Time Magazine Article On Ray Frans fr/ 80's?
by ithinkisee ini was reading jay's 20-part story over on freeminds.
amazing stuff.. at one part he says "then sometime later a time magazine article was released which discussed what happened with ray franz.
in a subsequent issue of time, i also saw a letter from ray franz where he clarified some aspects of the original story.".

Could some-one please explain American football to me!
by Zep ini get all that stuff about downs and 10yards, and about kicking the ball through the goals and all.
but, having never played gridiron/american football, there is one thing i just dont get everytime i watch the bleedin' game.
i have played australian football(aussie rules) and rugby league.

Well I don't understand it either. To me it looks like:
Line up in line
Kick ball
Catch ball
Everyone on field piles on top of you
Then you start the process all over again!
Just my view.

i can of course tell ya'll my entire spiritual story, but that would take an entire bookwork.

Thid page contains photo scans of Watchtower 11-15-67 p. 702 and the Awake 6-8-68 p. 21
Watchtower receives "New Light" in the 60's:Organ Transplants are Cannibalism!
Jaron, please read the following 2 books before you start to study with the JW's:
1) "Combatting Cult Mind Control" and 2) "Releasing The Bonds" both are written by Steven Hassan
They will help you see the tactics that are used to 'program' you into thinking that the Watchtower Society AKA "Jehovah's Orgization" is the 'one and only TRUE RELIGION.' -

"First of all, if its true what it says about having to stop studying and only being able to read and talk about WT articles or WT-pro articles when you are baptized, is thats true then that is a very bad
doctrine and I would surely fight it." -- Jaron
Firstly, Jaron, "fight[ing] it" will most surely get you DF'ed! Once BAPTIZED you must BLINDLY ACCEPT everything that the WT says as TOTAL TRUTH. Absolutley NO questioning is allowed.
You keep saying that it is not your experience. That is true because:
1. You are not considered a "bible study" yet.
2. You are not baptized yet.
3. They do not consider your questions a 'threat' yet because you are not even attending the KH. They WANT you to ask questions now, it is their way of getting you 'hooked'.
4. If you asked an elder at this point in your journey, that elder would LIE to you and even show you some printed stuff to back up that he was telling that you can ask questions. But in PRACTICE after you are baptized the rules DO change. You can be, and will be, DF'd for asking the WRONG questions.
It is plain to see that you are a very head-strong young man who DOES try to think for himself. This is a very good trait, BTW. I doubt that any here will be able to talk you out of attending the KH when you move out.
Alright, go to the KH, begin a study, but please, please, continue to read posts here and read other sites too at the same time you are a 'bible study'. Continue to ask your questions to your study conductor. But Please Do Not be in a hurry to get baptized! Jesus was 30 years old, so you have lots of time to follow HIS example.
