Jerimiah Film on Jehovah's Witness History!
by scoobiedoo1 inhi, i'm fairly new to this site but i downloaded a film about one hour long on the history of the jehovah's witnesses!
i found it to be very good but i doubt that i could get someone (jehovah's witness) to watch it since they are ordered not to watch anything that might enlighten them event though the film is all truth supported by there own watchtower publications!
if any one is looking to see this film do a search for jerimiah films in limewire or kazaa, etc.... i know theres a lot of crap on these download sites but there are also good stuff!

I think that I read on xxxxx site that has made the cd's that both of these authors are now in the public domain. The reason, Russell WAS the WT organization back then. "The Judges" books are in public domain because the existing WTS did not renew his copyrights. Boy, I bet now the ole' Boyz wish that they had! I think I am going to purchase a copy of da judges writings just in case.
If you are interested in doing the same, I'm sure you'll be able to find them. Maybe even through amazon dot com!

xJW siblings... decline "family" Xmas gathering

i'm one of 4 siblings who has left the truth.
there are two more who are still in, along with our parents.. i have tried to organize a "family" dinner the last few years, including my exjw (never baptized) siblings and their respective never-jw spouses.

Maybe you could opt for a summer bbq instead. Invite 'everyone' to a family style outing at a park. This would be a true test of who is 'shunning' who in your family.

WTS vs Quotes: Requiem for a Research Web Site
by Quotes inin compliance with the terms of a settlement agreement, my information and research web site, http://quotes.watchtower.ca, is now "dark".
the domain "watchtower.ca" has been transferred to wts (i assume they will have it pointing to borg.org watchtower.org asap).
my copies of the site have been destroyed, the files deleted, and my wt library cd has been destroyed, in accordance with the settlement agreement which will afford a "discontinuance" of their suit against me.

The Writings of C T Russell hold NO copyright otherwise 'certain ones' could not sell cd's made with his writings. These same 'certain ones' also sell a cd with what 'The Judge' wrote while HE was president. So I assume that his 'babblings' are also copyright free.
A site containing just quotes by these two will further 'embarass' the WTS.

What the WTS seems to be forgetting is ALL of the times that THEY have really violated the copyright laws in their own publications!
Why is it that THEY are allowed to quote, and even misquote, other sources and NEVER give proper credit to the original author(s).
The "Trinity Booklet" comes to mind as only one example of this illegal and dishonest practice where the WTS has left out major sections of the original referenced article which has resulted in CHANGING the original meaning from what the original writer has intended. This practice by the WTS is well documented in printed books as well as tons of web sites world-wide.
Isn't it about time that the WTS start to reap what they have sown?

IDEA For A NEW Watchtower Related Website
by West70 inas has been previously pointed out, international copyright law is extremely complex, and interpreting such is a specialty.
therefore, i do not claim that the following "idea" for a new watchtower related website will comply with international copyright laws, but it just might.
possibly, at this point in time, there is a need for a new discussion board website, which specializes in discussing what the wbts has previously published on various topics.
