  i have been battling an incurable illness and will be able to post less and less.

  there is treatment but no cure and no cancer yet.

  Dead Elders: an amends

  the other day i posted, on a thread, that the only good elder was a dead one.

  i regret that comment and ask amends to those that were offended....if any..... by "death" i was thinking "inactive in that roll.

  " like: are there any "good" meth dealers, or "good pediphiles.

  these are just a few: how about this one, brothers the time left is reduced", do not take liberties with the sisters", charley calls", brothers and sister do not mark on the sides of your bibles", do you have secret sins", do not be saving seats", you will not be used if you wear a beard," parents are your children setting with you", are you buying out the oppertune time for your selfs", only use the motels the society wants you to use", and on and on like cults do.

  Bethel Tour Canceled Due to Lack of Interest?

  just left my sister who is definitely still in.

  she was scheduled to go on a bethel tour this summer, but she said it was canceled.

  she stated that apparently not enough interest was shown.. anyone else hear of something like this?.

  The Brooklyn part of the tour of a five-minute walk through. The factory buildings are empty. Nothing to see. The only other building you can see is the 25 Cloumbia Heights building. Here you walk through the halls and the tour guide explains what happens behind closed doors.

  Usually they incorporate into the tour a trip to Wallkill, Patterson, and usually end up in DC to see the Holocast museum. My mother inlaw went on one of these tours where they also went to Pittsburgh to see the grave site of Russell.

  2007- Witness Meetings= Why can't women wear pants/trousers??

  when my mum went to her first meeting she was dressed to perfection, she wore nice ladies dress trouser/pants.

  the witness stuying with her told her it was "not apropriate" to wear this to the meeting...in 2006 i was in a congregation where a sister would put a skirt on over her pants she wore to work.

  it looked weird, but the pants ban still is in force 2007.

  Over 15 years ago we traveled to Honduras and visited the wt branch office. Because my wife (now ex) and her mother had pants on they would not let us past the front reception desk. This is a third world country and traveling was difficult. Traveling with a dress on would make it even more difficult. But there was no bending the rules.

  A..J.W.R.B - Associated Jehovah's Witnesses for Reform against blood transfusions.

  This is a great site. This is one of my first sites I visited on my road to freedom. I was an elder at the time and was overwhelmed by the information. I communicated a few times with Lee Elder and appreciated the assistance I received.

  YAY!!!! I got my finals back from my financial class!!

  and i passed with a b!!!!!

  most of my grades have been above a b but with this class even my friend told me (who is a number cruncher), they gave us an unfair advantage because they threw in all kinds of variables that was a bit too advanced for a person starting out.

  the college is going to change this because they realize it is a bit much for "beginners" but we weren't so "lucky" to have it changed for us.

  a good man i used to know from the jw days died today of cancer.

  he was in his mid thirties and i feel really bad for his wife.

  Actually, based on current WTS reasoning, the sheep and goats won't be judged until Jesus appears with the angels when Babylon the Great is destroyed. Thus, every person who dies before that has a sure bet of being resurrected into the WTS paradise. I hope JWs are not going door to door with weapons now (just kidding).

  First, I hope you are ok. I have been concerned for awhile after your post a few weeks ago.

  Second, this is a good point that I don't think the r&f fully appreciate. If you die before the GT, you will be resurrected. Living to the end and you only have a .000001% chance of surviving. Using that logic, every tragedy should be welcomed with rejoicing. According to the wt, the 9/11 victims will be resurrected. If the event never happened, they would most likely die at amogedon that is shortly upon us.

  Go figure.
