  Questiions that JW's can not answer

  i was an elder for 10 years.

  there were some questions that i was asked by the flock which.

  i could not answer.

  How about these questions:

  Are there accidents in the new order. If someone falls off a building and dies are they immediately resurrected?

  Are aborted fetuses resurrected? Will a woman who suffered multiple spontanious abortions throught her life wake up int the new order with a bunch of kids waiting for her on the front porch?

  What does it mean to be perfect. I understand the physical part, but does perfection affect inteligence, common sense, and skills?

  Were the ones who saw the events around 1914 in the last days? If so, why are they several generations removed from today?

  Why are watchtower studies so boring?

  What does it mean to have the "truth?" Since the truth is different that what was taught 15 years ago does it mean that the wt did not have the truth today?

  Preemployment Drug Screenings

  i have not been associated with the jws for many, many years.

  today i had someone ask me why jws don't submit to preemployment or employment drug screening.

  i had never heard this one and suspect it's some random person out there just trying to get out of taking a drug test.

  There is nothing to support that statement. Witnesses take blood tests. Anyways, a drug screen uses urine. I don't know of any scriptural prohibition against peeing. The only job you might be able to get without a drug screen is a window washer.

  I found that this morning. Great stuff. That may have been created by an active witness. There are some dubs that have a sense of humor. It is clear that who ever did it was a witness at one point. No one but a witness knows what "HBH" means.

  Did You Ever Think The Demons Were Bothering You?

  when i was younger i used to have terrible convulsions and hear "voices".

  my mom was convinced that it must be "the demons".

  the congregation prayed over me and eventually i went to a doctor that was able to figure out why i was so sickly and presto: everyone's prayers were answered..

  I was acused by my ex wife that I had demons flying through my head. I don't think she is right. However, if by chance I do have demons flying through my head we all are doing just fine. Thank you very much.

  Why Do You Think Jehovah's Witnesses Are At A Standstill?

  i think they've lost all of their zeal.

  years ago, even if people were bothered by the door knocking, it was still said that people admired their zeal and conviction.

  not one jw that i know truly gets excited by the "truth".

  Several issues that should concern the wt:

  1) Brain Drain - the smartest and the best are long gone or are going.

  2) No date certain for the GT - No one can argue that 1975 and the "generation" did not energize the troops. Now there is nothing.

  3) Internet - JWD, enough said

  4) Bad publicity - pedophile issues are now public knowledge

  5) Increasing cult mentality - instead of acknowledging the changes the society is increasingly increasing the hold on the remaining members.

  6) Stupid ideology - There are a lot of things that just does not make sense. The internet exposes these items very well.

  7) The r&f are tired - Too many false alarms.

  8) The general economic reality - Jobs and education are now critical to living. Can't do that and still be a close member of the wt.

  Local Needs tonight

  here is something i thought was a bit weird.. tonights local needs was about depression.

  not so much in how we can help those with depression, but about getting over it.. the brother used the scriptures about elijah and the widow to show who was relying on jehovah.. he mentioned how the widow was obviously depressed.

  then showed how she should have been like elijah.. as i sat there and listened, i realized his underlying message:.

  The message from the elders is that depression is evidence of a lack of faith. Re-enforcing the guilt factor.

  The solution is always - Do more pray more go out inservice more study more go to meetings more.

  No wonder so many people are so f&*(*&^g depressed.

  I got over my depression by getting rid of my wt faith and my wt wife. Bet you won't hear that recommendation at a kh.

  picking up 5 wt and awakes at your doctor's office and and tossing them in the trash after your appointment.. i tore them up so the garbage man wouldn't decide to become a jehovah's witness.. loosie (of the i didn't burn my bra but tore up mags instead class).

  Acts of liberation:

  1) Purposely singing the wrong verse (extra loud) of the kingdom song book.

  2) Now bowing your head or saying amen for a kh prayer.

  3) Going to college and getting a career

  4) Masturbating without guilt.

  he hangs out with all the middle aged women at the hall.

  I have seen the person you describe several times and in every case, the outcome was not positive.

  My cousin married someone that fits that description. Three kids later he left her for a man. Df and scandal followed.

  In another case it was clear that the young man really love his faith. Unfortunately his natural desires got the best of him and he was df. I kind of felt sorry for him.
