My last meeting the C.O. was there he made a comment that was the last straw. He said: "We don think we have the truth, we KNOW we have the truth."
So if they know they have the truth it is a waste of time to taste before swallowing.

by confusedandalone insomeone told me today that at the annual meeting something was said along the lines that, we do not need to be like the boreans and search that everything is true because we know we have the truth.

Chat with Elder, how would you reply?
by awakening inhad a sit down chat with an elder who is aware of my doubts.
we were on the subject of new light, i was saying that if the org changes a teaching then the old teaching was wrong and cannot qualify as truth at the time it was taught, so where did the falsehood come from?.
his response was the gb is imperfect!!

I hate discussions like this. They miss the basic premise of actually being appointed by holy spirit. If the GB are human, make mistakes and god make mistakes and are none of their utterances are inspired, what good are they?

Founded as the American Religion Data Archive in 1997 and going online in 1998, the initial archive was targeted at researchers interested in American religion. I list what was worst for me during the weekend in the following order: (1) The WT study, (2) the Saturday evening family study, and (3) field service. The worst field service activity was after the Sunday meeting.
I get a sick feeling in my stomach just thinking about it.

a friend posted the anthony morris videos on facebook today, and the ensuing conversation got me wondering: why are the jws still going door-to-door in the developed world?.
it's clearly useless as an evangelizing tactic; the wt have recognized that for 20 years, with their "go where the people are" spiel, but they also insist that it's still necessary.. .

1. zero yes 0 references to the fds in any of his talks.. 2.he also told elders that the brothers worship god and not them.so therefore the elders have no authority to order the friends around.. 3. he also talked about the stanford prison study and said that people who receive authority over others often abuse it.
4. he mentioned that when he disagrees with the branch (aka the fds) he's learned to just do what they say.
