My life is the sum total of everything that occured to me throughout my life up to this very moment. Given the fact that I am happy now suggests that the first 35 years of my life as a JW, while painful, set me on course to where I am today.
And no, I am not going to the memorial.

Half the annointed are sisters, they had no power to begin with. I remember a comment at an assembly stating that these take the lead by following the direction of the GB.

Troubling experience at 1 day assembly re: little jw child
by williamhconley injust had my 1day assembly this weekend.
an experience given by the bethel speaker was quite troubling and shows how jw's live in constant paranoia, anxiety and they isolate themselves from normal living.. a first grade class was having a fire drill.
everyone ( except one) lined up and stood outside away fron the classroom in the grass.

A sad, but probably untrue story. If it is true, the 1st grader is probably 50 years old and hasn't walked into a kingdom hall for years. See, we just gave the story a happy ending.

If I was still a jw, I would be peeing my pants in excitement about the current events. Considering what is happening is Russia has to be pure gold to oldtimers who actually understood the retoric related to the KON and the "soviet union."
May be they were right after all....naw, don't think so.

New requirement to be Recommended
by bruh2012 inper co last night, he mentioned in his talk that in oder for a brother to be recommended as an elder or ministrial servant he must have a regular and meaningful family worship night.
this will demostrate his willingness not to miss that important meeting and preside over his household.. so i thought, wow what a way to add to the "inspired" biblical list of qualifications.
serving jehovah is sounding more and more and more organizational..

I hate to be in a position of defending one cult over another, but the family night of the Mormons sounds far superior to the family worship night of the JWs.
I am sure the watchtower considered the requirements for the Mormon family night when looking at requrements for the family worship night.
Clearly they needed to kick it up a notch, because of course, they have the true religion. So, everyone loses.

This is a very sad example of someone under total control. If the GB said that red was yellow, he would be able to find a way to justify.

I am glad being an elder or MS are not on my future career goals. Those family worship nights have to be the most painful family event ever. Don't the Mormons have something similar, although I think they can play games, as long as they are together doing something.
