This thread is the coolest ever. Because of this thread I got a pm. I feel so special. It is like my pm buddy and I are creating our own special place in a wicked wicked world.
I never had friends, with the cult thing and such, so I am now learning a new lifestyle. But this seems like a lot of responsibility, I hope I am not expected to buy Christmas presents.
i was invited by my parents, and even though i have nothing but contempt for this religion, things have been good in our relationship so i was considering going just to appease them.

Alas, I was never invited. I at this point do not know the date. However, even if I knew the date I am certain that I have other plans.

During the transition of learning TTATT to freedom, which took a few years, I found alcohol a welcome relief. So, yes, to your question.
I still drink wine with my meals, but my consumption of alcohol had dropped significantly since my jw days.

I figured out TTATT as a MS in the early to mid 1990s, I learned more about TTATT when I because and elder, which occured serveral years after I began to have serious doubts. So, my crossover of attending meetings and fully knowing TTATT, spanned probablly 5 years. Those 5 years were the worst five years of my life, but that is a topic for a different day.
There is no question that learning TTATT is a starting point. but the next question is so, what is next? For some, if not all, the answer to that question is difficult and personally painful. So, if it takes a few years, so be it. It is what it is. There are those who learnTTATT and never get out, which is very sad.
I would be intereted in hearing the stories after you learned TTATT and when you last meeting was.
I have no idea, but I think it is bad. But may be it is a good thing. In any event; No, I do not know.

Bore suggest it has to do with something either very boring or intense or focused. It is interesting how in the English language polar oposites can merge with just a few letters.

there was a sister in my congregation that signed up to aux pioneer one month to put in 60 hours.
we couldn't figure out why she was never at the arrangements, but yet she said she got in her time early in the month.
we found out later that we wrote a letter that took her an hour.
I had to relieve myself at a public restroom and found a tract stuck behind the flusher at a urinal. What a wonderful witness and creative way to count time. Although, I am not sure anyone would actually want to touch the tract.
