Nice summary of the important items. I guess you highlighted those items because these are the things the Watchtower says you should NOT do.
Which may explain why unhappiness and depression is pandemic in the kingdom halls around the globe.
i came across this article today and really appreciated it's positive message; and so i wanted to share a few choice excerpts that i thought were particularly relevant for this group:.
7 things remarkably happy people do often1.
make good friends - make real friends.

i was on this board a lot when i faded and left 6 years ago but not been on much since.
is there any thread/s in particular to read showing the changes in the past 5 years?
or any kind willing person who has time to summarise them as a reply below??
The biggie that I don't know if you heard, Armogeddon never came. I'll let others fill in the minor details.
i cannot take credit for any of the gems below but i did want to polish and organize them.
much of the information was borrowed from this thread.
if you can come up with any more, please post them.. the bible does not ban birthdays.
These seem like all logical points, but how do you mitigate the risk of someone losing their head? Isn't that the primary concern of the Watchtower's birthday ban? I have attended several birthday partys and worrying about the risk of beheading takes the fun out of the festivities.
yay!!!
seriously one of the most watchtarded talks ever.
maybe one of our elders can post the outline??
Sing along: "If you are happy and you know it clap your hands..."
Seriously, DADog, I don't know how you do it. It was mental anguish when I went to meetings after I learned TTATT.
it seems like it is one huge contradiction.
but are they doing it for the purpose to try to guess exactly who in the congregation is on ex jw sites?
.
Of course they do, this site is addictive. They learn more about their organization here than they ever will going to meetings and listening to circiut overseers.
there have been a few posts in the past about watchtower inc. at 100 henry street, but i do not see the answer i'm hoping for.. can anyone confirm or provide details linking watchtower inc. to the wbts?
they are across the street, and one can easily assume that they are connected, but i don't see any definite links.. the closest i have come is this link: http://www.insideview.com/directory/watchtower-inc which lists watchtower.org as the website.
this could have been posted like this in error however.. according to 2014 sec filings watchtower inc. has a ceo named sholom drizin ( a man worth possibly 2 billion.).
100 Henry St is in the neighborhood of the Watchtower, however, I am not aware that it is a Watchtower property. Very interesting information.
does anyone know a good location for taking photos of the wt factory building with the clock?
i could see it well from 140 broadway, where the red cube sculpture is.
i was on a high floor, though.
Is the Fulton Ferry stop the same as South St Sea Port and the old Fulton Fish Market? I've been away for ten horrid years.
The South Street Sea port is in the Manhattan side. You can take a water taxi to the Fulton Ferry stop. I am sure you will get a few good pictures. There are great views of the Watchtower property from the Manhattan side at the South Street Sea port. They have developed the area and is a wonderful place to sit and watch the activity on the east river.

You can also go to Fulton Ferry Landing and get some great shots. Be sure to get a slice of the best pizza ever at Gramaldi's.

Take a walk on the Brooklyn Bridge. Great view of the Clock.
i definitely look like a worldly person by jw standards... however i went to my old hall because they are remodelling and they are in the final p[hase.
it was not on purpose.
i had bnusiness on the street and happened to drive past.
Wow, that story confirms your handle, confusedandalone
I am sorry, but at least you know. Knowledge is power.
