I remember once our PO said something to the effect that all elders must poineer. This was the month of the memorial. I think most elders did poineer. I did not and was never talked to about my not pioneering.

All appointed men are being told they have to pioneer now!
by stuckinarut2 inyes, you read correctly..... all appointed men have been told in a new letter that they have to pioneer to "set the lead" whenever there is a "special" campaign month.
they use some scripture saying that these ones have to show by example.... so for any of us who are appointed and have learned ttatt, it is going to be very hard to fade during this time!.

Frozen and Sparlock the warrior wizard
by NewYork44M ingiven that magic is from satan, this is what we learned from the horrible story about the little boy and sparlock the warrior wizard.
i am curious to know if witness kids are allowed to see the movie frozen.
i am not a big disney fan, but this movie was wonderful.

It seems that the Sparlock video strikes a very hard line against magic. It did not seem to have room for negotiation (i.e. degrees of magic).
I feel sorry for the poor witness kid who is allowed to see Frozen and can't enjoy it because he or she feel so guilty for making Jehovah sad.

If someone refers to the "greek scriptures" is that a sign of JW indoctrination?
by scotoma ini recently had a casual conversation at a bar on the subject of atheism.
they used the expression "greek scriptures".
i didn't pursue it but it made me wonder..

I never knew anyone other than Witnesses that use the terms "Greek" and "Hebrew" scriptures. Perhaps this person sensed that you might be a witness and wanted to speak the talk. Otherwise, I suspect this person was or is a witness.

Is this the talk that suggests that accidents are part of Satan's world?

By implying that magic is from Satan and that Jehovah hates magic implies that magic is real. One of the things I learned as part of learning TTATT is that magic is not real. That was quite a revelation for me.
But do witnesses believe that the little girl from Frozen is from Satan when she has the ability to turn things frozen? There was some evil imagery in this movie that should probably create problems for the consciences of those trained by Sparlock the warrior wizard.

Aren't You Glad That You Are Out Of The JW Religion?
by minimus ini am so happy to be out of the cult.
i would never go back!
i don't know some still could accept this religion, be here, regularly and not just get out..

I have moved on, there is NOTHING that would bring me back. NOTHING!
But, I am not sure the most appropriate emotion would be "glad." Is it appropriate for you to be "glad" when a large, grotesque, cancerous, life sapping growth is removed from your body?
"Glad" seems a bit too casual under the circumstances.

For fear of getting this post flagged by the monitors, I did not post any links. But you should type into google 132 Main St Darmouth. You will find Ralph's place. I cannot imagine that these young sisters with sunglasses understand the implications of this picture.

Are we all actually "bad / evil / immoral" after leaving the faith?
by stuckinarut2 inso recently there have been several posts with references to talks and articles that imply the following:.
most of those who learn ttatt or fade from the "truth", are actually practicers of bad things, eg immorality, hence that is why 'we' now find fault with the org?.
i find this so offensive that they imply such.

We may be preceived as good or bad based upon our leaving. However, the reality is that we are what we want to be. I think most people want to live a successful life and do what they can to be on that track. Some may say that is bad, but that that is there problem, not mine.
I got my own stinkin problems and can worry about what others think.
