  This Generation.

  matthew 1:1 is called "the book of the generation" - everything in matthew refers to this same generation.. similar terminology can be seen in genesis 5:1 " this is the book of the generations of adam.

  when god created man, he made him in the likeness of god.

  " all of the descendants mentioned in genesis 5 cover a time period of 1656 years.. another example of this type of generation, reference can be seen in genesis 37 "v.2 these are the generations of jacob.".

  I wonder why discussions like this did not occur until after the generation of 1914 (that I was taught from an early age) all died.

  Retrospective new light is so lame. If this discussion would have occurred in the 1960s I would have been impressed.

  If only there were another GB member like Ray Franz

  i'm just rereading crisis of conscience and was thinking if only there were others on the gb like him.

  maybe things could change for the better.

  for instance when he felt troubled that a woman couldn't get a divorce when her husband cheated on her with another man.. his response was this:-"the emotional upset i felt moved me to make a study of the original language terms (in greek) used in matthew, chapter nineteen, verse 9.".

  this is how a do explained the family business policy re relatives of df/da members.. he said that the expression, "necessary family business," is really not a scriptural term.

  it is nowhere found in the bible.

  but, out of the kindness of the gb's hearts, they have gone beyond what is written and allowed association among families for necessary business.

  I am sure there are GB who know TTATT. However these ones saw what happened to Ray and see what they will have to give up. The conclusion is thanks but no thanks. And who can blame them.

  Do you think it's rude or disrespectful to be in the bathroom for any reason while the brother is praying?

  i had a publisher tell me this recently that she felt that it showed disrespectful to the brother up there giving the prayer, like you're ignoring him or something.

  what do you think?

  and if so, any bible scripture or watchtower or awake backing this idea up specifically?.

  Here is a story that applies here:

  There was a priest that asked if it was proper to smoke while praying. He was told no it would be disrespectful to god. So a few days later he asked that if he happened to be smoking would it be acceptable to offer a prayer to god. The answer was affirmative. It would be fine if you were smoking and then decided you wanted to give thanks.

  In this situation replace the word "poop" with "smoke" and you will get the answer.

  So, if you happen to be pooping, or another body function and someone is offering a prayer, I think that would please god.
