I believe Jehovets Witnesses are a criminal organisation. But if all organisations that practice misrepresentatin of facts and lying were banned, that would include the governments doing the banning.

    Minimus:

There was a time I would have said "No" and that they should be allowed (because of human rights, freedom of religion, etc.)

However, after what I now know about them, I would have to say "Yes" to your question OR at the very least, they should have restrictions put upon them as to what they can and cannot do to people (specifically referring to judicial committees and treatment of ex-members).

While I realize they have a record for securing "rights" in court cases for themselves as a religious body, unfortunately, the story changes once somebody joins the religion.

The individual has NO rights at all within the religion and god-forbid they want to leave it, their families and friends are instructed to "shun" them. The world should know about this.

No,but I beleive the WT corporation should pay taxes, and health benefits to their full time workers, that apply to any business in that country, they should be subject to the laws they have in place to protect their citizens from being exploited by a business. They should be required to fill out yearly earning statements and be held accountable just like any other Incorporated business profit or nonprofit, religious, spiritual, or whatever.

The best thing to do, would be the worst thing for the Org - governments to outlaw the inhuman shunning policy.

If the Org refused to comply, revoke their charitable status! Money talks!

    Yes and Yes.

Children and humans need to be protected and I don't care about the dangerous and destructive cult's rights.

No, simply because this will reinforce to JWs that "Satan is persecuting them" and "this really is the truth". They should however arrest the leaders, shut down the printing presses in NY and Toronto, and worldwide. Expose with TV documentaries the lies, scandals, and crimes of the GB. Leave the rank and file alone, and let the religion wither. Without the GB telling them what to do they will be lost.

I want to say yes but the snowball effect could be potentially horrendous for others. Tax them. Tax the crap out of them and like others have said, make them take care of their own for life.
