Shame on people if they donate to this jackass. Shame on the U.S. government for allowing this jackass to live in a taxfree world.

Why is the finished mystery of 1917 so expensive compared to other JW books?
by blownaway ini see these on ebay from time to time and they go fro 150 to 200 dollars.
seems like a lot.
other old jw books go for much less.

If you want to read it (although, I cannot imagine why), here is a link to the pdf.

I just watched the final video from this years convention. OMG!!!
by NikL ini am shaking all over right now.
i think it's worse that the bunker video.. i used to think there was no way that these people would actually "drink the cool aid" if you get my drift, but seeing this video i am now not sure it could never happen.. having a wife who i love dearly trapped in this cult is really freaking me out right now...

So, the Womens March ... What Is It For?
by Simon init seems like mobilizing after the election, which seems pointless.
i keep hearing demands for equal rights but don't understand what rights they are missing exactly.. normally a march is to show the support (and potential votes) for a cause, but ... votes for what?
... and the election happened already.. is anyone else confused?

All the marches are meaningless unless people vote. The focus should be getting people out to vote.

Did You Care About The Royal Wedding?
by minimus ini don’t get it.
who really cares?
in the usa, it’s such a huge newsworthy event.
-

For what it is worth, I don't care. That being said, I wish the couple the very best. I have not turned the TV on this morning. So I have not seen the wedding at all. Was it wonderful?

Beliefs and life after disfellowshipped
by AlexPancho init is normal for a person to review their beliefs, especially after such a traumatic event as disfellowshipped.i think that many here do not believe that god is leading jehovah's witnesses.. someone does not believe in god at all.i think it is good when we can be free in our views, no matter how much they are, without the pressure from any organization that teaches us to "true" believe.so, now i read many books on the history of the bible text and found that there is no foundation to be sure that at least one true words after 500-year history of rewriting has reached us.
if you wont find more info about this - googledbart ehrman book or nestle-alland new testament, where every words have many variant.for start read thisi read grat biological works, as dawkins "great show on the earth" and other (into russian lang) and i do not have any reason believe into creation.but, i still belive ino any abstract god-like force, without any "book based" reason.what do you believe in today?
why?please do not condemn each other's faith - we have gone through a rather difficult path..

While I was not disfellowshipped (at least as far as I know), I have developed post-JW beliefs.
I have NO interest in religion. Absolutely NONE! I am not interested in any discussions or debates. I see the cart witnesses almost daily, but I no interest in engaging these people. I consider this a total waste of time.
Does that mean that I am an atheist? Perhaps, but I am totally turned off with the elitism of atheists. Those people scare me.
So, what do I focus on? My family, my career, good food, and good wine. I have carved out a very good post-JW life. My goal is to extend this as long as possible.

These meetings are all about procedures. I remember on talk about Account Servant procedures. The speaker simply read the step-by-step written procedures for collecting money and conducting the audit.

Birthday
by charonsdog inby the time i finish this post, i will have turned 50 years old.
i spent over 40 years of my life not celebrating my birthday, and it never seemed like a big deal to me.
three years ago, i received a cake and some friends sang "happy birthday" to me at a dinner party that was for a different event.
