  the object of the game is to shoot down as best you can a positive (no negatives allowed) assertion that has been made by one of your opponents.. you must do it in two sentences only.

  you cannot do it with a mere contrary assertion.

  you have to give a reference to back your argument up.. eloquence, pithy clarity, pointed relevence all count for much.. here is the format:.

  You are trying to control the arguement by making a statement that cannot be defined.

  Do all women who read romance novels suffer, or just more than one? If you can find more than one wome who suffers neurosis does that prove a link between reading and neurosis? Of course not. But I think that is your point.

  The way you frame your arguement is the means of controling the arguement.

  BTW, how do I get rid of this damn highlighting??

  i think it's hilarious that when you post facts there is still always someone arguing it.. makes you want to stop bothering if people don't want to learn.. but then again my family has only been in the truth for 100 years so what would i know?.

  well i just got the new kingdom ministry for december and it has the publisher peak for august: 129,482!.

  that is quite an amazing total when you compare it to the trend of recent years:.

  2006 - 129,482. i wish i could produce a graph, but you get the picture - there has been a dramatic increase in the publisher peak number this year compared with the recent downward trend after the 1995 "generation" change and subsequent stagnation.

  How Often Do You Pray?

  i know this might sound silly, but one of the most annoying things i find about my mom being a jw is how often she prays.

  normally, i would never criticize someone for praying to god, but she prays in such a way that makes me angry for some reason.

  She should have prayed to ask forgiveness for putting that crap in her body.

  When I was a jw my prayers were very superficial. I just could not get into the whole thing.

  Since my fade began I have not prayed. Nor, do I plan on praying.

  A SIMPLE EXPLANATION of why TIME TRAVEL doesn't work

  energy and matter are neither created nor destroyed.. consequently, the building blocks of existence are actually finite parts.. to create things in "tomorrow" which are new, something has to be dismantled to leave spare parts for the new thing.. the old thing deteriorates, (dies) and the parts become the new thing.. time travel requires going to a place where all of today's parts are completely dismanteled and are being used (or not) to maintain yesterday/tomorrow.. ever see the film primer?.

  If what you say is true how do you explain the Star Trek transporter? Or, may be you are explaining why the transoprter on Star Trek works...

  From Wikipedia:

  The transporer converts a person or object into an energy pattern (a process called dematerialization), then "beam" it to a target, where it is reconverted into matter (rematerialization). The term transporter accident is a catch-all term for when a person using a transporter is somehow not rematerialized correctly.

  Sounds like the same process that you described.

  just how is it all going to happen?

  i mean, you dont have to be a friggin rocket scientist to work out the logistics of 6 billion+ corpses on the face of the earth!

  to be honest, i know its a lot of bullshit but it intrigues/angers me to think back to some of the ludicrous converstaions i overheard regarding the murder of 6 billion+ people in the 'near' future.

  I remember being out in field service and if a particular person at the door was mean someone would say "their day is coming" or "they will get what's coming to them". They seemed smug about the comment too.

  I went out in service once with someone who made a similar comment. He followed the comment with "and I will watch and just laugh at them while they die." I was very disturbed by my experience. When I went home to tell my wife she could not understand why I thought his comment was so disturbing.

  How should I report zero hours for November?

  for the first time in my jw history, i turned in a slip with a big zero written in every column,.

  turned it over and wrote "zero tracts" below that, i wrote "stumbled by the co".

  You can count all the time you spend on this board. This question has been discussed some time in the past and I believe it has been resolved. If I was still turning in time I would count all my JWD time on my monthly report.

  Where does most of the WBT$ Literature really go?

  the wbt$ prints an incredible amount of literature..jehovah`s witness`s usually buy multiple copies of everything..where does it all go?..you can`t throw it away or burn it,only satan burns watchtower literature..lol!

  !..my mom has floor to ceiling copies of all of it..every jw i know has a garage,basement or spare bedroom filled with it..there must be millions of dollars worth of wbt$ literature that has never been placed door to door..where did most of your wbt$ literature really go?...outlaw

  While I was a JW I had tons of unplaced lit. we used to start the wood stove or fireplace fires, WT and Aw rolled tight also act like little fire logs to keep us warm in the winter and cut down on heating costs.
