Hailstones?
by NotFormer inwhen i was interested in things jw two decades or so ago, i never came across these mentions of hailstones.
it crops up so often now that it's almost a meme!
when did it become a thing in jw speak, and what does it refer to?.

Once again, Chicken Little and the "sky" is falling. More fear. They will change their message when nothing happens as usual.

Jehovah's Witnesses...loyal to God...or to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society ?
by Balaamsass inthis month is a month of testing for jehovah's witnesses.
individually, each must ask himself: to whom are you loyal?
no doubt in ancient isreal many attended the molech and calf worshiping festivals out of loyalty to the nation, the king, and perhaps in a mistaken belief to "jehovah".

Jw's are so stupid, if Geehovah (God's Organization) told them to open their wallets, they do it. If they where told to take a Blue pill they would line up. These would be the Super Righteous Jw's.

Can Elders Voluntarily Resign?
by NotFormer inan elder with half a brain (and they must exist š§) is going to see the writing on the wall with the way the wt is manoeuvring them into taking the fall over csa cases.
can an elder in good standing step down with no consequences, official or social?.

My father was an elder but stepped down because of health reasons. But not really, he saw trouble on the horizon and got out. He was a VP at an oil company and just didn't like how Watchtower treated people.

KGB infiltrated the Borg
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inwe from the old year books that some kgb undercover agents became elders in high up positions.. i wonder if this is going on today?
not just in russia but other congregations around the world?.
when you think how long it takes to become an elder and all the talks and maybe judicial committees they were involved with.. anyway iām just throwing it out there if someone wanted to pay me i am a current elder who is pima about intelligence or chance involved with the origin of the universe.. .

Your Opinion of Jehovah's Witnesses and Their Religion?
by Vanderhoven7 ini thought this fellow, not sure if he is pimo or pomo, who goes by the name anonymous, gives a fair opinion summary.. "i was a jw for many years, but generally not a particularly stellar example of one.
your question has two components, and i will address them separately:.
opinion of jws as a people:.

Meetings were bad back then.
by Rattigan350 inmeetings have always been bad.. if paul had to "command" people to not forsake the gatherings, the meetings must have been really bad.. considering that jesus said in matt 18:20 "for where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there i am in their midst.ā".
and then in matt 11:28-30: "come to me, all you who are toiling and loaded down, and i will refresh you.
take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for i am mild-temperedi and lowly in heart, and you will find refreshment for yourselves.

They are still bad. No change.

Beth Sarim- I have lost too much brain cells from Watchtower. I can't watch or read any Watchtower stuff without bad effects. Including laughter.
