  i'm even a little hesitant to do this but i have finally decided to try, for a while at least.

  a lot of the comments that i have read seem somewhat harsh toward the witnesses.

  It was a pleasure typing to you.
  Please check into the WTS history and the changes that they have made with their teachings.
  Of course you will believe anything you want to. And you have that right.
  But remember,you will be going out in service teaching people that the only way to please God is to become a JW and be a part of that orginization.
  It would really be a good idea to learn all you can about the orginization so you will know if that is true.

  Hi Gloria,
  You said one should be convinced it is the truth before they join that religion.
  What should that person do,if after they join ,the"truth" is no longer true. And it gets replaced with a newer "truth"?
  They might have been convinced that they had the truth before, but what about now?
  That is why we must examine everything that is taught as "truth".
  Especially from any group that claims to get their truth from God.
  God does want us to examine teachings. Remember the Boreans?
  They were comended for checking the scriptures to see if what they were being taught was the truth.
  We owe it to God to make sure that what we believe to be truth is really His truth.
  We can't say to God, It's not my fault. They told me it was the truth. All I did was follow them.

  witnesses.net's and (a couple of years ago) hourglass2's the old hippie modestly says "hello" and enters if not the building then at least the area.

  live in europe, am - (i am sorry to say) - a countryman of the unholy trinity consisting of kent, jan h. and norm, and thus well updated with the practises of the observer-thing.

  do not support the majority of what they think or do.

  i have so enjoyed the last 12 plus hours on this forum.

  it was like playing tag.

  thank you danielle on the things i had forgotten about the wtbts....their closed mindedness, everything can be answered from a past publication from wtbts, the ability to label someone you don't know, thinking fast on your feet, doing everything daddy tells us, the elders are the"doctors and lawyers" every good jw girl should strive to marry,being scared of dating,seeing demons in everything.. well i just wanted to say thank you for the laughs,it is good for the soul:).

  hi, dfs.. first of all, let me say it is not necessary to label yourself on this board, or anywhere on the internet for that matter.. so many of us have family members that are df'd, it really doesn't hold much water round here.

  i did have some questions for you though, which of course you don't have to answer.. 1. why were you disfellowshipped?

  Hi Deacon,
  Of course you're right. When DF'd does get reinstated,he will of course shun most of us.
  But when he's at the meetings,and the talks and mags.are saying how evil those that left the WBTS are, he's going to realize that the WTS is wrong about that.
  And it just might get him and others thinking.

  i am a dfshipped person who is working towards reinstatement.. i would like to meet anyone else who also would like to return.. i really would prefer not to meet people who want to criticize my desire to return.
