  nevertheless, an illustration reveals what a simple, practical thing jehovah has in mind for mankind.

  not to prophesy, but merely for the purpose of illustration, let us assume that those who compose the great crowd of righteous persons who come out of the great tribulation on this system of things alive (re 7:9, 14) number about 6,000,000 (about 1/1000 of earths present population).

  The Insight book is a giant pice of crap.

  Nevertheless, this is the first mention of a rainbow, and if a rainbow had been seen earlier, there would have been no real force in God’s making it an outstanding sign of his covenant. It would have been commonplace, and not a significant marker of a change, of something new.

  The Bible does not describe the degree of clarity of the atmosphere just prior to the Flood. But apparently atmospheric conditions were such that, until a change came about when “the floodgates of the heavens were opened” (Ge 7:11), no others before Noah and his family had seen a rainbow. Even today, atmospheric conditions affect whether a rainbow can be seen or not.

  Is the Pioneer School being eliminated?

  i heard from the semi reliable source that the pioneer schools will go the way of the dodo bird next year.. i could see this happening.

  it used to be that you went to the the pioneer school once.

  then they allowed dubs to go every 5 years.

  Sounds hard to believe. Though they are cutting out all other training that was happening at the KH. It is such a giant part of Pioneering, especial for the1st year. The thought of missing out on Pio School was unthinkable to me when I started (even though I hated service). I don't see how they can do that without expecting a big drop off of pioneers?

  C.O. time I dont see being a factor at all. What the heck do they need to do thats more important.

  Blood Cards on File with the Elders?

  i have a question for elders here or recent elders.

  were the elders, in the last 10 years, given instruction to keep a copy of every publishers blood card on file at the kh?.

  we moved to our current cong 6 years ago, and shortly after we moved in, the boe requested everyone update and give a copy of card to the kh.

  And: Public talks will someday be all the same talk that is video fed over the KH video systems. No need to find a local speaker to do these talks each week.

  I said this as soon as the TMS was killed in favor of more demonstrations impersonating as a school.
  

  There is currently NO forum for a young brother, Ministerial Servant, or Elder to be trained, or to improve the skills needed to be a Public Speaker. This has been eroded away over the last 10 years, one by one getting rid of those needed opportunities to do one of the hardest things on earth, teach and motivate people through oratory.

  Public talks have often been boring or bad, but now the are almost always ATROCIOUS. There is no accountability, and people keep patting brothers on the back saying "good job" who vomit on the stage, or lay a giant turd.

  It wont be long before we have our Public talk presented as a video from JWB. Cant wait to hear Tony give a talk on human hotdogs at HARM-A-GEDON

  We never had copies of Blood Cards kept by elders, and I have never seen a letter to that?

  Blood cards are signed and witnessed, no one has ever been asked to sign 2 and give one to the elders?

  Also remember all Growth should be measured agains general population growth. All the numbers from the last few years really suck, especially when you factor in the TIME SPENT.
