  300 books and magazines placed outside The Shard

  hi all.. so i got a txt today from a very proud mum claiming that, the jw cart produced 300 book and magazine placements.

  mostly from foreign speakers.. the shard is the tallest building in the uk.

  this is where the cart was placed.. not a bad day they had really.

  So how in reality could 1 cart be placing more than 2 books a minute continually? That sounds kinda fishy.

  This week's resurrection video, will it backfire on the wt?

  --well, this week's showing at the hall was the opposite, it was about death with violins playing in the background.

  a recently bereaved member, , full of tears, (like many others) could not contain herself.

  In my state I know of NO halls being built or refurbished. I remember when I used to work on 3 or 4 a year.

  If death is a natural occurrence in the human species, why are we born with the innate feeling to continue living indefinitely?

  there are some people that do in fact want to die.

  these people include the mentally unstable, emotionally imbalanced, and those suffering from ailments or diseases, just to name a few.. i've never met however, anyone, or heard of anyone, who is of sound mind, who just awoke one day and thought it would be an excellent day to die......naturally.. your thoughts?.

  Its simply a mechanism for self preservation - just like why you get out of the way of a bus.

  If living forever is a natural thing - why is NOTHING built to last forever - including the universe?

  Why are we so poorly built? Just about anything can kill us. 71% of the earth's surface could kill you in about 4 minutes (oceans). You can't be outside without protection on about 70% of the rest of the earth's surface without dying from exposure in a matter of a few days at most. I could go on and on and on.

  how in the world did they justify this torture?

  imagine the children forced to sit in the summer heat at yankee stadium for 12 hours a day.

  reading a report of an elder in a friends cong has been hiding and spying on the pioneers who seem to have a practise of dumping the cart and finding a local coffee shop, i've noticed that they do this in my local high street as well but this week they seemed to be all huddled around the cart, they've clearly been warned, a vast percentage of the time i see they seem to be more interested in fiddling with their mobile phones and gossiping, is just seems these carts are a means for the pioneers to turn in "easy time" i wonder what sort of figures show how much literature is being taken by the public?

  i bet its very minimal.

  naturally the gb would say they are a phenomenal success , we clearly know they are not.

  jookbeard - what you are describing is the SOP of most pioneers. Drive around - waste time - get coffee.

  That is not an indicator of the GB dropping what has become the least effective means of gaining new cult members:)

  My boyfriend is thinking of becoming reinstated

  i'm not really sure where to post this.. i've been with my boyfriend for 4 months now and i've really never been happier.

  i was brought up in the church of christ with an elder father and i really believe in my religion, although i will admit to being a lousy christian at times due to sheer laziness (not wanting to get out of bed on sunday).

  my boyfriend essentially lives with me.

  actually its quite amusing to observe the different reactions from within the org every time theres new light.how dumb does a person have to be to not realize its all a conjob.surely a thinking logical person would question all the changes over the years.lts almost like the blind leading the blind scenario.
