  Are there 'ultra strict' congregations?

  when i studied as a young adult, it was in one of those congregations.

  having viewed the religion as a quaint little band of christians it conpletely dumbfounded me when i was told about such rules as 1 - no beards.

  2 - you must wear a suit to meetings and while giving a talk.

  it's not really a funny subject, our getting old and our bodies falling apart.

  sure, as the saying goes, hard work won't kill you, but it can wear out your body.

  so jah can build a broadcasting studio in record time, provide a cool summer so the new bibles can be printed on time without the presses overheating, but cant deliver his people in russia?!.

  if jehovah is going to allow it what good are millions of letters and prayers then?

  Being homosexual in a JW house hold

  i could not find a topic about this if there is one ooops.

  it is hard to speak with my mother or any other witnesses about this, their response is "its ok to be gay just don't ever 'act out.

  acting out = being with someone even if its a healthy consensual legal relationship between two adults its still wrong.

  Jean sadly you will never be accepted by JWs.

  The more time that goes by the worse it will be. the anti-gay talk amps up year after year.

  As people find out about you they will shun you anyway.

  Attending the 2017 Memorial

  after contemplating whether or not to attend the memorial this year i finally went.

  this time last year i had been reinstated and within weeks the elders summoned me to the kh to interrogate me about my past and place of residence.

  i was angry with them and lost my temper and stood up to them.

  You did make a small mistake - its about 360 million born every year, and about 55 million die.

  So you need to add an extra 0 to your figures.
  Makes your points even worse for the all loving doG they worship.

  i salute you.

  many of you, like me, are probably under enormous emotional pressure, whether from a lingering false sense of guilt from your indoctrination, whether from "invitations," and assumptions that you'll naturally be coming, or whether from outright emotional blackmail, even begging and pleading.

  i am thinking of you whoever you are, all of you, even though i don't know you in person.

  Getting older, losing loved ones

  just reading a posting about relive a day for one year of your live... .

  getting older, i am so sad thinking about years ago and missing my family members.

  am i the only one believing they would never die?.

  My mom became a JW when we were little kids, and we followed.
  My father was opposed to any of us being JWs.
  

  My dad died before I woke up, and a day doesn't go by that I don't wish I could tell him he was RIGHT all along, and that I am sorry.
