However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at. It matters that you don’t just give up.
Stephen Hawking, as he celebrated his 70th birthday
can we let this day go past without acknowledging his contributions to the betterment of human society ?.

here are some tough questions designed to determine honesty of the witnesses you meet.. 1. is post secondary education currently discouraged by your religion?
2. does your religion teach, that with rare exceptions, only baptised jws will survive armageddon?.
do you believe jehovah will completely destroy billions of people at armageddon?.
Good list.
I had a shorter one.
Ask any JW (especially Elders) - Using your bible alone - please show me:
Clear evidence for a Governing Body that would be the model for today.
Show me using your bible how overlapping generations is clear.
Explain how the bible show that 1914 was the coming of jesus.
Then - "what, I thought you were a bible student, how many years have you been reading the bible and going to meetings? Are not those 3 things the main tenants of your religion?"
Are you ok with not being able to explain them by using your bible?i woke up this morning thinking about when my mom died about 10 years ago.
she was an avid jdub and was confident that she would be resurrected to an earthly paradise petting zoo.
if i would today go to my mom's house and because god brought her back to life, saw her sitting in her favorite chair, would she really be my mom?
Sour Grapes - you boiled down the entire lunacy of "the resurrection" and with it the whole bible.
i know we cannot answer this, how many are physically in, mentally out (pimo), but i heard an amazing piece of news the other day.. an ex-p.o and ex-elder, a long time regular pioneer, and when i knew him a stalwart believer, went for a drink with another jw who has actually left, but is not df or anything.. in the course of conversation he came out with this bombshell "well, i am actually an atheist now, i just go along to keep my wife happy".. i also heard of a number of youngsters that i know personally who are simply living their life as they want, whilst making sure they don't get df'd for family and social reasons.. if as it seems the pimo's are a huge number, could there be a huge " awakening" where they all realize they are in a huge group, and they all say " eff it, lets call it a day on all the jw s**t ".
?.
wishful thinking, but.....just possible ?.
I know a very prominent elder friend who is a PIMO.
He is an atheist but still gives district talks when he cant get out of them.
And I know someone else who stepped down as an MS over the Overlapping thing and is PIMO cuz of his wife.
There must be MANY!
just a thought.
would those who are resurrected (if it existed) to the new system have bellybuttons.
Haaaaaaaaaaaa resurrection:)
Now that's funny!!!!
I found $1.25 in his pockets!
"Good boy, now run along."
