You are wrong there. I know of gluttons punished! Jabba the Hut was once a brother and after ignoring loving scriptural counsel, was Disfellowshipped. Sadly after that, the spirit of the world took hold of him leading him to a life of galactic crime and villainy.

Literature being discontinued, including Isaiah's Prophecy and Reasoning book
by Richard_I incongregations get an annual letter that tells what can be ordered for literature (it's mainly a list of audio cds/dvds for the deaf), but this time it included publications that will be discontinued, and this included the isaiah's prophecy book and the reasoning book, and i think i saw the draw close to jehovah book.
i meant to take a picture of the letter but forgot.
the branch is only going to give what they have on stock, when that stock depletes that's it, you won't be able to order those publications anymore.. this is in canada so i don't know if this is worldwide..

Can an inactive family member hold back a MS appointment?
by Simon Templar ina friend asked me if a man can be appointed a ms if he has an inactive (inactive for 15-20 years) baptized adult child living in his home.
the child lives by the rules and doesn't do anything wrong (jw-wise), as i am told.
i know the child (adult) and is a good kid as far as i know.

Also anytime a publication says"evidently" ( it means there is NO evidence) or - "no doubt" there is compete doubt. Always watch for those words because you know compete BS will follow. -

Every meeting and article makes me feel like a character in the novels - Fahrenheit 451, or 1984. I left out Brave New World because that society encouraged sex and that and you should have as much as possible, so that does not fit in to the JW Cult teachings. -

Can somebody explain the songs and songbook obsession?
by careful ini've been out a while and have only put in a rare appearance at a memorial or brief visit at a convention/assembly to keep people off my back, so i haven't kept up on the songbook.
but one thing i've noticed that the org.
has been doing that they never did when i was in is all these "supplemental songs" that keep appearing.

by Coded Logic infor whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.- romans 15:4. ever consider that paul wasn't referencing his own letters to the congregations?
and he certainly wasn't referring to the gospels which hadn't even been written yet.

So if meetings were so important and we should have them 2 or 3 times a week, why was there no reference at all to actual meetings with the some structure, and were 1st century christians pressured to not work, or travel if there was a meeting? And how often was it more than maybe a house hold, and someone near by?
