  i have been a jw my whole life and i have never been able to get a clear answer on this question.

  jw's do not believe that jehovah will intervene if someone is sick, dying or stopping a car crash.

  they feel that jehovah is letting "this world" play out before he solves all of these problems.

  The GB have been speaking out of both sides of their mouths on this subject for a long time. There was a WT that stated that - paraphrasing - "god doesn't do miracles today - but if someone thinks they were the recipient, let them think so." But just the other week we had the Do you see gods hand in your life, so of course the flock always thinks that they have had good intervene for them. Everyone thinks they are Job. I have always hated this thinking.

  Is it worth upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7?

  i'm running vista home premium on my dell inspiron.

  dell custom build to your requirements and i went for 4gb of ram from the start (almost 2 years ago).

  i know vista has been much maligned but honestly, i've had no problems with it.

  Dude Windows Vista is the worst (and thats saying a lot) Microsoft products every. It made more people turn to Apple than anything ever. Yes Upgrade - but better yet go to Apple.

  You are wrong there. I know of gluttons punished! Jabba the Hut was once a brother and after ignoring loving scriptural counsel, was Disfellowshipped. Sadly after that, the spirit of the world took hold of him leading him to a life of galactic crime and villainy.

  Literature being discontinued, including Isaiah's Prophecy and Reasoning book

  congregations get an annual letter that tells what can be ordered for literature (it's mainly a list of audio cds/dvds for the deaf), but this time it included publications that will be discontinued, and this included the isaiah's prophecy book and the reasoning book, and i think i saw the draw close to jehovah book.

  i meant to take a picture of the letter but forgot.

  the branch is only going to give what they have on stock, when that stock depletes that's it, you won't be able to order those publications anymore.. this is in canada so i don't know if this is worldwide..

  By the way those books are off the JWorg site - not downloadable any more.

  Can an inactive family member hold back a MS appointment?

  a friend asked me if a man can be appointed a ms if he has an inactive (inactive for 15-20 years) baptized adult child living in his home.

  the child lives by the rules and doesn't do anything wrong (jw-wise), as i am told.

  i know the child (adult) and is a good kid as far as i know.
