Why do girls have a hymen?

if you believe humans evolved, and were not created, why would having a hymen help, especially as no other mammal has one?

if you believe humans were created by {a} god, or intelligent beings with advanced technology, what was the reason for a hymen?

i'm interested to hear your thoughts on this unusual subject, not many people talk about..

Appointments Of Elders / Ministerial Servants Etc. In Contrast With Those Claiming To Be Of The Anointed .

according to jw beliefs the anointed / 144000 are going to rule with jc for a thousand years .as kings rev:20;4 .

i think they , the anointed , would be more important in the scheme of things than an elder or a ministerial servant in any congregation.. yet for the most part , they have no say or any position in any of the congregations in the world , and certainly not if they are female , however heaven accepts female anointed ones.. yet here on earth ,along with there service , elders and ministerial servants , with the holy spirits blessing , are appointed to there position in the congregation.. apparently there is no such scrutiny , guidelines or procedures in place , no holy spirit , or performance of service to determine who is an anointed person , so that any tom dick or harry ,mary jane or joan can claim to be an anointed person and it is accepted by the watchtower organization .. .

can you imagine every male claiming to be an elder in a congregation if you use the same guideline/ leeway that is given to the anointed ?.

So if its just 144K - how did that number not get filled up in the 1st Century? I mean - the bible says the world was filled with these teachings? There were 2 Million Jews in Jerusalem alone? Then you got Paul all preaching to the rest of the world? Did you message suck so bad even then that only a small fraction of lunatics would accept it?

1: So god, if you really love everyone and dont want to kill just about the whole world, why not a Booming voice in the sky in all languages at the same time. That would kinda let everyone know your for real. Why use a book that can be interpreted a million ways, and then use uneducated, untrained people (JWs) to tell people kinda what you think? You know these people could not sell water in the desert, for the most part? Hey also in your "book" it would have been really cool if you had like mentioned something about quantum physics, or the speed of light, or something that could only have been discovered in our time? I think you just phoned it in this time man, you could have done much better if you just put your gigantic mind to it.

2: So god, if you created man out of love, and not because you were not already perfectly happy and fulfilled, why did you do that only 6K years ago? I mean why not a billion years ago, or 10 trillion years ago? So what changed? Did you get lonely? If you were totally cool alone forever, why did you start making things?

3: So god can you make a Rock so big you can't lift it?

science.. landed a probe on a comet, found liquid water on mars and successfully completed a ten year mission to pluto.. developed the first successful vaccine against ebola, discovered another human species in homo naledi, developed cancer killing molecules and high intensity ultrasound therapies which avoid surgery and leave healthy cells alone.

successfully mapped the human epigenome and developed the gene editing tool crispr, it's potential for medical and agricultural advance is staggering!.

found a way to produce graphene for a 1000th of the previous cost, developed cheap and sustainable methods to supply clean drinking water where water borne infections have been killing thousands, scaled up production of clean, renewable energy.. there's loads more, please feel free to add to the list.. .

it declares that many of today's best magicians are in league with the devil.

his claims are based on his observation that the tricks would be impossible to do unless the magicians had made unholy pacts with the devil.. so what's the take of the wtbts?

The really cool feeling of community within JWs

i remember going out with other jws after the memorial.. small gatherings.. picnics at some local landmark.. the feeling of closeness, camaraderie, friendship with like minded people you could trust.. haven't experienced it since i left.. really miss that..

I agree. I think in part the constant reminder that "not everyone in the hall is good association", and the you better turn people in if they do something talk has put a damper on getting close to each other. Plus I don't know about you, but so much of the meetings is negative, all about what you are doing that will make god mad at you, and how horrible everyone is, and don't go outside because your neighbors are going to rape then murder you.

Plus the majority of jws are poor and need every bit of extra energy to eek out a living. Who has time or energy to go out of there way to associate - its easier to watch TV and not have that pressure.
