WOW!
By the way - JW's (including me then) have like 4 go to scriptures and that it.
this is interesting, jw's go to the door of a biblical scholar, a professor in theology i believe, and he invites them in and records the whole conversation.

was not sure where to post this, but i was curious, how do some of you now feel about the military?
would any of you let your children enlist, or would you yourselves join any military field?
how do you feel about the idea of women in the military?
They have kept us safe and free for a long time. They do the dirty work, and often get no thanks in the end. Vets have gotten the shaft by the US Government since Korea.
Ironically enough, if it was not for the US military, there would be no Watchtower.
just want to share my take on the new circuit overseers visit.
first impression, he's a control freak.
he got up several times to correct the servants on lights, sound and speaker stand positioning.
We got the exact same treatment. I think the "End isnt coming soon" crap was especially funny.
Gee where would publishers get the idea that it might not be coming Next Tuesday?
Maybe for the Idiot Splain and his CHART that showed the time past 2015 about the same size as the time before?
Gee - wonder why???
Its also funny in that I guess the average JW cant understand pretty simple examples without STUPID illustrations.
I.E. Bread, or 2 pencils (to understand overlapping), or a big chart - again to help understand the complex idea of 2 things overlapping.
Next maybe Elmo and Big Bird can help us understand really complex things like 607 :)
Does anyone have any information on JWLEAKS.org? It is still down. Does anyone have any contact with them?
so... bro flodin puts poison onto the first loaf of bread and says that this pictures someone "sinning against the holy spirit".
he then puts the bread into the trash can stating that jehovah completely discards anyone "sinning against the holy spirit"... meaning they cannot ever be forgiven...he says that the pharisees "sinned against the holy spirit" because they denied indisputable evidence of the operation of jehovah's holy spirit displayed by jesus... therefore jehovah would completely discard them... no way back for them.. fast forward a little... we have the bible character stephen...acts 6:8 says: now stephen, full of divine favor and power, was performing great wonders and signs among the people.so stephen was showing indisputable evidence of the operation of jehovah's holy spirit.now we come to the bible character paul (saul)... he was a pharisee.paul would have seen stephen in action... witnessing the indisputable evidence of the operation of jehovah's holy spirit first hand!yet paul not only waged war against all christians but he personally approved the killing (stoning) of stephen.according to the bread illustration paul should have been discarded by jehovah at this point for "sinning against the holy spirit"... he would have been put in the trash can... no way back at all...but what happened according to the bible?
jesus appeared to him on the road to damascus... he became one of the most zealous apostles in bible history with jehovah's full support!so what on earth is the bread illustration all about?
MORE CONTRADICTIONS TO REALITY - Since I was an elder for a long time - i know one of the things he said was COMPLETE BS. When he talked about if you sin seriously but are repentant - god forgives and its like it NEVER happened.
The BS in that is that at any elders meeting with wrong doing and especial with Judicial meetings - if a person has a history (i.e. a young person had sex repents, and then does it again) it is ALWAYS remembered - and the whole "This person has a PATTERN of sin - and this person is WICKED and not weak" is ALWAYS brought up. NOT FORGOTTEN!! And thats cuz how Elders are trained.
at about the 37th minute of this month's broadcast brother loaf of bread says that grieving the holy spirit includes "using deceitful words" isn't that what brother jackson did over and over during the rc testimony he gave?
did he not lie and obfuscate when he said things like "it's not my field"?
this org- strike that - cult is disgusting!

Talk about contradiction?

the question as to what believing in this entity called god entails is a fairly important question that needs to be answered first.
to me, the key difference between a universe in which god exists versus one where god doesn't lies in the idea of teleology.
in my view, a universe with god entails some sort of process towards an end, an end which can be characterized with words such as bliss and unity and others.
