Could they make not donating a disfellowshipping offence?
by purrpurr ini'm wondering at how far the borg could go in begging for money?
their halls are already resembling the"money changers in the temple".
as they get sued more and more due to their pedophilic paradise their coffers will be ever more drained.

We should keep our disdain and speculation for the Org based in some reality please. -

Demon possesion, bunch of crap or?
by raven ini've been using the forum to vent and post a lot more frequently lately as a venting purpose & way to obtain peace of mind with the craziness i've been going through recently as i fade away form the org.
anyways today i'm sitting here at work and thinking to myself about demons... ok i know this sounds crazy but has anyone else out there been traumatized by the thought of demons?
i had a dream the other night, just flat out spooky and i woke and couldn't help but feeling it may have been evil ole' satan and his demons at it again.. i don't want to believe that, (trying not to, & just brushing it under the rug so to speak) but have any of you out there been talked up about demons?

YOU ROCK WIFI!!!
Bad translation but you get the idea:
We inform you that we are discontinuing in the territory of the branch using the Registration forms from house to house (S-8) and person who showed interest (S-43), in order to avoid giving the erroneous impression that the branch or congregation are collecting personal information to make preaching, without the knowledge or consent of the people. Some publishers have decided to make personal notes, perhaps taking advantage of a notebook, notepad or device Personal mail, when they are unable to contact people (not at home) or talk with someone who shows interest in the Bible (od p. 91 para. 33). If someone finds a publisher who speaks another language, you can take the initiative to locate another publisher to serve a congregation or group of foreign-language and is trained to give assistance; or he can encourage the person to write down their contact details on jw.org, if you want the visit (od pp. 93-94 paras. 38-40). So without these forms will have no negative effect on make return visits and conduct Bible classes if every publisher conducts its records using discretion and good Judgement.
THIS IS SO FUNNY!!! Not like for 100 years we have been taking detailed notes of every call and not at homes:) -

Me to - soooo happy!!! Last year was torture.
But I have to say - there is part of me that misses hearing the insanity for some reason.
I think every crazy thing said was just reinforcing that it is a cult that I don't want to be part of.
Strange dichotomy.

Type / Antitype article discredits many JW teachings
by Sanchy ini was going over the type / antitype articles that were released in last year's watchtower articles and i've just realized how ironic it is those very articles can serve to demolish some of the most fundamental jw teachings.. take for instance the "questions from readers" section of the march 15, 2015 magazine.
after mentioning some "far-fetched" interpretations that others have applied to bible events, they go on to say:.
if such interpretations seem far-fetched, you can understand the dilemma.

Lesson 1 - Model of Solar-Triggered Earthquakes Confirmed
by Invisible Qualities inmy beloved brothers and sisters, let's talk about science.

Funny how the USGS says that its not true, nor has any credible science outlet I have found talked about this at all.
Sounds as credible as me saying - I have confirmed the existence of Bigfoot.
Maybe you have access to more credible confirmation?

There are two cart witnesses outside of my office window - Faneuil Hall in Boston - should I approach them?
by Billzfan23 ini asked a couple of them farther up the street by north station if they had ever seen beth sarim - and that they should look it up...for some interesting facts about their history.. .

Sure Vanderhoven7
There is NO scriptural support for a Governing Body in the bible.
The word NEVER appears - nor is this thought implied.
The scripture use is:
Acts 15 Now some men came down from Ju·deʹa and began to teach the brothers: “Unless you get circumcised according to the custom of Moses,+ you cannot be saved.” 2 But after quite a bit of dissension and disputing by Paul and Barʹna·bas with them, it was arranged for Paul, Barʹna·bas, and some of the others to go up to the apostles and elders in Jerusalem+ regarding this issue.*
Now if there was suposed to be a GB and they would Rule the Roost - why would there not be really specific scriptures dealing with it - say like the levites and priests in the old testament.
If you as your average JW - they have NO idea that GB does not appear in the bible.

I think pointing out they can't prove their current beliefs using the bible has more long term value.
Really, the entire WT org rests on those 3 questions.

I think you should ask them to answer the following questions from the bible because you know they have the answers.
1. Please explain Generations using the bible.
2. Please explain the Governing body using the bible
3. Please explain why you believe 607 from the bible
This is better than mentioning anything they would consider apostate and just shut down.
