i'm so upset and angry at the same time.

i move in less than 2 weeks and was supposed to be getting help off "brothers" to move and one of them was driving the van and now the elders have had a meeting and told the brothers they can't help coz i'm separated from my (abusive) jw husband and with moving it puts the chances of reconciliation (of which there was zero chance) even further away.

where are these stupid rules that they come up with.

They are not rules anywhere. JW are happy to find ANY excuse to not show love.

It's there most prominent mark.

I am getting disfellowshipped

maybe some of you remember me, maybe not.

for general information i am now 19 years old, and living by myself.

for the past 1 year (more like 1.5 years) i have been quietly fading out of the hypocrisy of this organization, but since i still live in the town i grew up in it has been hard, and filled with different challenges.

Again as a former Elder - I agree with Earnest - they don't have anything on you unless you offer up more information.

To do anything they need Two witnesses, that can corroborate that you are often with the DFed person.
Being seen once with someone DFed is not enough to have a Judicial Case.

I would not engage with them, but if they contact you just be respectful and say you are appreciative of their concern for you, that you are ok, thank them, and exit.

Wierd Shunning Stories

yesterday i went to a shopping center.

i saw a dub who was once a very friendly person.

he was about 10 metres from me when i noticed him.

One other bad one for me (long list), was that I was doing work from a long time family friend who is a JW.
Well when the rumors (fueled by elders) started flying (again I had done nothing but not go to meetings), he made it impossible for me to keep working for him.
It was a major chunk of my income.
Still, have not recovered from that.

My fading suffered a miscarriage

i thought of successfully fading out, but suffered a miscarriage last week.

i gradually decreased the number of meetings i attended.

in the latter half of the year it became once a month, then once in two months, once in three months ….. last week, two elders who visited me, after their bla..bla..asked: “where will you go leaving the motherly organization—the only truth now available on earth?”.

So don't go. Even if they did I wouldnt go.

Will #metoo have an affect on forcing changing attitudes at Watchtower?

despite decades of the feminist movement, watchtower's attitude of woman being inferior has changed little, with pauline sexism justified as inspired, on the basis that women are lesser emotionally, intellectually and physically.

jehovah's witnesses seem to accept this with little resistance.

is there anything about the #metoo movement that may wake followers up?

so i have started down the path of trying to understand evolution, and to get the linear lies that the jws planted in my head out of it.

i bought an audiobook called "evolution: what the fossils say and why it matters" by donald prothero.

i heard it recommended on an atheist podcast that i listened to.

The funniest part was after his video came out with his CHART that showed the BIG A was way in the future, the next round of CO visits included a section blaming publishers for thinking that the BIG A was not, you know, next Tuesday.

It was their fault for paying attention to Splain and his magic chart.
