  i know that some here detested him while others may have simply accepted the reality of who is president.. do you think he is better than you might have thought as a president?.

  A few of the amazing thing Trump has done.

  DESTROYED THE ENVIRONMENT

  Trump has made it a priority to get rid of every regulation President Obama put in place to protect the environment. One of Trump’s first actions was to announce the repeal of the Clean Power Plan (yea more asthma for everyone), one of the toughest actions against global warming ever put in place by the U.S. It’s never taken effect and hasn’t been repealed yet, but that hasn’t stopped the Trump administration from reducing regulations around vehicle emissions, toxic waste, methane leaks and the pollution of drinking water. And let’s not forget the denial of climate change and the withdrawal from the Paris Peace Accords.

  LINED HIS OWN POCKETS

  Trump has used the presidency to enrich himself from day one, whether it’s Trump hotels welcoming foreign dignitaries or the $91,655,424 that American taxpayers have spent on his golf trips. And now Trump will likely be one of the biggest beneficiaries of the tax bill that he signed into law last week. No wonder he wanted to celebrate. Since he hasn’t released his tax returns, it’s impossible to say how much he will gain, but it will undoubtedly be in the millions. Oh and other members of his already-wealthy family like his daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner also stand to save millions.

  PUSHED “FAKE NEWS”

  Trump, along with Mike Pence and his other sycophants who attempt to outdo each other in obsequious praise of their master, is waging a war on the truth with his constant declarations of “Fake News” whenever a critical voice is raised against him. Trump cannot stand to be criticized, even when the truth is obvious, as in the size of his inauguration audience. While Trump decries the truth as fake news, Kellyanne Conway came up with “Alternative facts.” This authoritarian approach to any events that don’t match Trump’s prescribed opinions and policies is extremely dangerous.

  just wondering if anyone has gone back to a meeting out of curiosity?

  (perhaps to an area far from your old khall where you know no one).

  with all the changes from 2012 onwards (videos, tv screens, new meeting format, new songs etc) it would be an odd experience to be in attendance!.

  My wife (who has no political opinions) was disturbed at the attitude Pelosi and Company openly displayed towards the "office of the Presidency", saying they should repect the "position" even if not the man.

  You mean in the way the GOP showed amazing respect for Obama? Like when a representative shouted out LIAR during his SOTU? Or how Trump showed respect saying that Obama was from Kenya? Or how most of the GOP did not come out and say that statement was crazy and that the many making was crazy? Or how they respected Obama by stealing a Supreme Court Seat? Or how the GOP declared their entire mission was to kill his whole agenda? Or the respect Palin gave saying the ACA was designed to kill our grandparents (death panels)?

  Its good to review the 8 years prior to calling out UnFair.

  You can dislike Obama, but he did not treat the office with contempt, or run it like it was his family business.

  The #1 step they should do is send Nancy Pelosi out to pasture with Hillary and take Maxine Waters along, too.

  On this point, I don't totally disagree with you.

  Cart Witnessing at Library

  hello everyone, i live here in the states, and over the past summer and fall, i noticed that several times when i went to the public library there were witnesses sitting outside next to the door with their cart.

  usually a couple of old geezers just sitting there racking up field service time.

  my question is, do they have to get special permission from the city to do this?

  Yea, why bother?

  You just make them believe that they are doing gods work and satan is trying to stop them.

  No one pays attention to them. The fastest way the religion would die is if the only form of service used was Carts.

  A few months ago i had a 2 month casual arrangement with an active JW pioneer sister

  Anyone watching Star Trek Discovery?

  so i've been watching the show and really enjoying it.

  great to see a trek tv series finally get a reasonable budget.

  beautiful costumes, sets, cinematography, action pieces, etc.. really my only complaints are how cg all the ships look and there's a fair bit of stiff dialog from time to time.. what do you guys think of the show?.

  Since Next Gen, really nothing has been great.

  Voyager did have some of the best Star Trek episodes ever, but not consistently great.
