Me too. It doesn't make sense on two fronts. 1) JWs do not become police officers due to carrying a gun and possibly having to use it to kill someone is a no-no. and 2) JWs are not prohibited from having vaccinations. But this guy is claiming he is losing his job as a police officer because his JW religion prohibits him from getting a vaccination. If just don't make no sense! I guess two wrongs make a right

Jehovah's Witness already suing Boston over Covid-19 policies files second suit
by Tahoe ina boston police officer who is already part of a suit seeking millions of dollars in damages from boston over its rescinded indoor vaccination requirements today filed a separate suit seeking at least another $2 million because the city fired him last month after rejecting his request for a religious exemption from covid-19 vaccinations.. in his new suit, filed today in suffolk superior court, saviel colon said the city forced him into a "hobson's choice" even though it knew he was a jehovah's witness when it hired him and he began working as a police officer in december, 2019 - and even though he filed all the paperwork the department required for a religious exemption.
colon says the city rejected his exemption request and put him on an unpaid leave in october, 2021, and then fired him last month.. in addition to the "financial and emotional distress" - including headaches, exhaustion and sleeplessness_ - he says he's suffered, colon adds:.
defendant's decision on disciplinary action was embarrassing and was made publicly in front of all his colleagues at the police station.. .

The pencil illustration is anachronistic and comes across as stupid, but they've come up with worse.

In these parts (midwest US), they have been going door to door and doing carts again for quite a while, since September or so. But, from what I hear, a LOT of them are just staying at home and writing the letters to get their time. -

a few months ago, there was a post asking about randy watters.

I looked up the account on Facebook and he made some posts as recently as Nov 10, gave his phone number, etc.
I never met Randy, but I had a family member in Brooklyn Bethel in the time period Randy was there and his stories contain a lot of names that I recognize. I feel a bit of kinship with Randy and am glad he is able to post.

Had the Walmart killer studied with Dubs?
by BONEZZ inafter reading his "manifesto" it seemed like he may have been influenced.
things like being "unevenly yoked", etc.
i know other religions may talk about that but dubbies seem to harp on it more.

Nephilim...Only desired females
by RULES & REGULATIONS inbible questions answered.
who were the nephilim?.
the bible account says that “the sons of the true god began to notice that the daughters of men were beautiful.” (genesis 6:2) those ‘sons of god’ were actually spirit creatures who rebelled against god when they “forsook their own proper dwelling place” in heaven, materialized human bodies, and “began taking as wives all whom they chose.”—jude 6; genesis 6:2.. the hybrids born from this unnatural union were no ordinary children.

A myth, legend, or fable became a myth, legend or fable over centuries or even thousands of years of repeated retelling. The details have changed over time and what we have left, that is, what was written down in the last few hundred (or in the case of the Bible, a couple of thousand years) may only record a portion of the original story. In most cases they represent some inherently needed compulsion of humans. Carl Jung called them archetypes.
The presentation of the fallen angels being only male and wanting human women, in my view, is a projection of the fears of the people of the time period.

Noah's Ark - Kentucky
by BoogerMan inregardless of belief/non-belief in the bible account, why is the ark nearly always depicted by both believers & non-believers as a huge boat, with a rounded hull & stern, and a tapered bow?
https://arkencounter.com/ .
the ark was crate shaped according to the measurements.

The Ark exhibit in Kentucky is just a few hours drive away for me and I have always had a morbid curiousity to go see it. It is preposterous of course, a testimony to people's stupidity and confirmation bias.

In these parts (midwest US), there is a fringe group which claims that Indian burial mounds and other earthworks were made by 'Nephilim', by which they mean a race of giant humans 12-15 feet tall. Their beliefs don't seem to directly relate to biblical stories, but they use the word Nephilim in their videos. It's really a curious belief, in that it has no evidence to support it and is basically preposterous.
