The old Gilead building was apparently reused as the Lansing Residential Center, a sort of rehab facility for troubled youth (girls). The facility was shuttered in 2013 according to this article I found:

Economics, in the sense of control of limited resources, ends up controlling everything. It brought down the Soviet Union, something we never dreamed would happen back when I was in school. It causes wars, revolutions, unrest. Ultimately it will be the demographically driven economics which will force the WT to either change or they will collapse. I figure they will find a way to change to survive as a social organism.

The sign, which I did not get a photo of, was for New York State Department of Childrens Services. However, the building has the appearance of not being used. Yesterday was a weekday, gates were closed, not a car or person in sight. So I’m not sure.
