History repeated: pre-1975 trend of selling homes to ‘downsize’

i saw this thread on reddit.

i think the reason for this is that the 1975 fiasco is never mentioned in the jw religion.

nobody mentioned it to me when i came in the years after.. the problem with this is that all the sad stories were never told (or hushed up) of people who sold off homes, etc.

it requests "a declaration that its elders are entitled to" clergy privilege, or, in the alternative,.

to the extent that the clergyman privilege is determined to exclude its elders on the basis that they are "members of [a] religious organization[] in which members other than the leader thereof are deemed clergymen or ministers," the court declare the statute to be unconstitutional.

Most often, confession is not sought within the congregation. More often, an accusation is made a 3rd party, the accused confesses or doesnt. This does not seem to meet the threshold of privlieged communication, but IANAL

it’s a shame the gov body did a big u turn on vaccines .

if they continue with the rule that only fully vaxed can go back to the hall then i could have stayed on zoom.

but the term fully vaxed is a moving target, if it’s been like six months since your last shot you are just the same as those of us who are unvaxed .

How far do we get away from 1914

how far do we get away from 1914 before they have a new light and admit it was all wrong?.

they cling to the old theory of the 77 week prophecy from the wrong date that jerusalem was destroyed .

with the overlapping generations nonsense still we are getting too far away from 1914. what will they say if we get to the 2030s and they still cling to 1914?.

This is a new idea, as far as i am concerned. I'm pretty sure the overlapper must be annointed prior to the death of Franz. That eliminates just about everyone born after 1970, IMO.

I've stated it here previously and will do so again for those that missed it;

I see Waton posted a possible time line. He likes the perfection of 2075. I think this is too long. I thihk we have a significant change in the next 10 years.

I use Ken Cook as a model. He graduated High School in 1980 (17 years old) That makes him 60 today. He would have needed to be annointed prior to 1992. By early 2030's he'll be staring at his own mortality. As will any other "Overlapper" of the same age or appointed since. This will predicate a new definition of "this Generation" or a change in the Start / End date for the Gentile times.

Nearly complete JW literature collection for sale

as many of you know, alan feuerbacher spent 40 years researching watchtower.

during that time, he bought every item of watchtower literature he could find.

his collection is so big that it’s impossible for me to try to catalog it, although i might be able to get some volunteers to help me with that.

i had an aunt that had rheumatic fever as a child and only had an iq the high 70's.

but, absolutely no one was able to bs her on an emotional level.

she had an uncanny ability to see through people's bs.

Jordan Peterson, once said that the US Army (older data) once said that a person with an IQ below 83 can not be trained for any job. This was part of a broader discussion on IQ being a reliable factor for a persons life successes

He made an additional comment, as an aside, to the topic- This point always stuck with me; IQ does not define a persons value as a human being. Your story proved exactly that. Thank you.
