  Finished Crisis of Conscience Recently

  well i finally got around to finishing crisis of conscience.

  2 things stood out to me most.. 1. the fact that the gb can question beliefs and noone else can.. 2. strangly the most disturbing fact- its a small one- but actually made the biggest impression on me out of the whole book-.

  the fact that they agreed to send him a copy of his meeting tapes and then refused and admitted in writing that they lied.. obviously there was much more that i got from it and i do find franz situation unique in that he had a whole support system outside of the "truth" and most today including myself have nothing- if i leave my wife hates me, my family wont talk to me, etc- it doesnt provide any solution for that scenario.. any thoughts on the above points- let me know.

  After reading it I too came to that conclusion that religion is man made.

  Too bad its hard to convince the avg. JW that "Jehovah's Organization" is made by human hands !!

  Are all religions Apostates or That Evil Slave?

  if the religion now known as the catholic church is the christian religion jesus started, and based on the scripture(s) that men would rise up from among you and speak twisted things- wouldnt that make jehovahs witnesses, as a matter of fact all religions that stem from christianity- apostates or that evil slave(s) based on the faithful slave parable?.

  I have always had a problem with the 144,000 going to heaven until verse 4. Not sure if anyone said this from the NWT: (not sure what the greek words are for this scripture).

  " These are the ones that did not defile themselves with women; in fact, they are virgins. These are the ones that keep following the Lamb no matter where he goes. These were bought from among mankind as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb".

  Not sure how this verse could have affected Russell's studies.

  i was watching the history channel's "the bible" and the part about the apostles life after jesus, the scene where the ressurected jesus appears to peter and tells him to go to cornileus (gentile/non jew)- got me wondering if at that point is it possible that the 144,000 number was filled/completed???.

  who knows???

  especially since the new fds change, the 1935 gathering is now thrown out- wonder what to believe from the organization now- wouldnt you think !!

  they just posted up the new watchtower...with the confusing new information.. time for me to go dive into this "new light" and try to see what sense it makes.

  of course cedars already nicely did a run down for us.. .

  The WT Organization seems to be positioning themselves to move right into the new system.

  The book of Revelation clearly doesnt say that there will be any human "instrument for providing spiritual food" or organizing activities during the millienium.

  Basically they the WT Organization has no purpose and or are non-existent in the new system if you read the book Revelation. I know it must be killing them that they have no scriptural basis to hang their hat on - so the only out is the change of the F&DS getting the belongings after the great tribulation even if the words of parable is true based on the original greek writings.

  blondie i was reading where you posted information from 1952 onward on how we are to treat disfellowshiped members of our spiritual and physical family.

  you posted information from the kms, wt and other sources.

  i did a search and can't find it, one of the tidbits of information said that if a brother or sister has contact with the "disfellowshiped member" they should be disfellowshiped too.

  Jwfacts,

  do you talk about the "length" of time of disfellowshipping in your article? Especially when you compare the time from when the apostle paul mentioned the disfellopshipping in 1 corinthians til the time he mentions the man repenting in 2 corinthians. One would think that that should be a guide for how long one should be disfellowshipped in light of a persons repentance.

  Communications during Armageddon

  this past wt study on the things that marks the end of the world---made me think in terms of armageddon and what the faithful slave would do if they couldnt communicate with thousands of congregations since the wicked/satans world runs the the modes/network of communications.

  i may not have all the facts as to the infastructure of the worlds communications but one things for sure---with the wicked destroyed at armageddon how does the society oh organization plan to communicate with the rank and file???

  wicked gone means that possibly the internet will not be working, post office will be down, mobile carriers/towers will be out of commission maybe, tv stations will be out of commission.

But at least the “wait on Jehovah” will kick in. Any thoughts on the possible reality of this???

  Well, I talked with two active JWs about the latest understanding of the F&DS.

  i know a brother who went to the most recent annual meeting.

  older brother, non-annointed, elder, wife a pioneer, and overall a pretty good dude.

  he let me take a peak at the new awake dropping in 2013, which by the way i have to give credit where it's due as i like the new 16 page format.
