The "Hate Crime" mob stirring things up again!

staff in a takeaway were offended by two lesbians' full-on kissing and expressed their opinion about the behaviour.

the lesbians complained to police that a "hate crime" was committed.. homosexual or heterosexual - do it in private, it's not a spectator sport or a public statement.. minority groups can invoke police action if they are "offended," but society in general cannot do likewise.. why has "being offended" been turned into a hate crime in the uk?

who is pushing this agenda?.

I read that BBC article the OP linked to and I don't think what happened is quite as The Fall Guy describes it. First off, this happened at 3.30 in the morning after two adults had enjoyed a night out - it wasn't at the school gates when the kiddies are coming out.

Secondly, it wasn't a "full on kiss". To quote; "It was nothing outrageous, just a normal kiss - like any couple would do on a night out."

Please leave out the 'spectator sport' nonsense, who here is so repressed that they've never kissed their wife or girlfriend in public - I know I have. Of course their are limits of decency but it seems to me these two girls absolutely respected that. In fact that's confirmed by the bigot in the takeaway who, when asked if he would react like that to a man and a woman kissing, replied; 'No, because that's normal'.

The takeaway was named Marmaris after a city in Turkey. Could it be that the real problem here was the intolerance of it's Muslim staff? Only speculation on my part of course.

Either way, I don't blame those two girls for reporting what happened. Why should they just quietly accept that sort of behaviour? What if it was your daughter?

Oh and stillin, maybe those two ladies at the funeral kept a little distance to avoid the nasty little prejudices of people like you. Perhaps they were being respectful to the deceased by ensuring their mere bloody presence didn't distract from the funeral. Seems they had more class than you buddy.

Whether you accept the facts of evolution or not the theory does at least offer an explanation of how the process works.

Creation doesn't do that beyond childish stories about forming a man from dust.

Read Jerry Coyne's 'Why Evolution Is True' and compare it to the paltry offering in Genesis.

I'm not averse to watching 75 minute videos but if I'm going to invest that time a short summation or a few key bullet points by the topic creator would be appreciated.

Alex, you made a big deal in your opening post about the neutrality of Jehovah's Witnesses during wartime as opposed to other religious groups who supported wartime operations.

This past neutrality, touted as a morally superior position, appears hypocritical in the light of your total support for the oncoming War of all Wars - Armageddon! The War of the Great Day of God the Almighty!! If your beliefs are correct Alex, more people are going to be killed in this imminent war than in all previous wars combined.

Can I hear your condemnation of this war? At the very least, would you proclaim your neutrality about it?

Resurrections, millenial judgements, sanctification? It's all white noise with no anchor in reality. It cannot be tested or falsified, there is no reason to believe any of it and abundant evidence to dismiss all of it.

Heavenly rapture.
Eternal life on a paradise earth.

Please put down your Bible and consider the very obvious third option.

I am definitely going to try the experiment Simon outlined in his last post!

Got to admit, I was skeptical about the whole 'constant listening' thing. I thought Alexa listened only for the wake word and at that point began recording and submitting my voice or conversation.

I still think that's the case but with a lot less certainty than I had before.

I'm digging into this . . .
