Good luck with that Lloyd! My guess is he's desperately trying to raise his profile to slow his brand rot. He could actually accomplish that by doing some work but well . . you know 😂
He'll soon have to face the ignominy of having fewer than 300 patrons. Not this month perhaps but certainly by the new year.
So what's his X username? Be nice to say hello 😈

JWN, 23 years posting Blondie
by blondie incan i call you friends, i think so after 23 years posting here.
i am dismayed how jwn is being "dominated" or taken over by a few posters, peppering the comments.
in the past, the admin did not approve of this and did remove some posters from jwn.

Rattigan350:
Why is there so much stupid stuff out there like people complaining that in 1969 an Awake article said that we won't grow old in this system. As if everything hinges on an Awake article.
Because it wasn't just one article, it was decades of the same indoctrination year in year out, month in month out ad nauseum. That one article is quoted often simply because it typifies the prevalent attitude at the time so well.
People are pissed because it affected their whole lives.

Serious sinner?
by Gorb inwith the statement in the study watchtower this sunday, that stop serving jehovah is a serious sin, the following:.
- can i conclude now, that we, (i, wife and 2 children), since 2008 pomo and no longer active in any religious activity, are serious sinners for jehovahs witnesses?.
writing this in a watchtower, a statement like that, could have big implications.. it makes me so sad.

Independent thinking, what normal people call "thinking for yourself". If you believe supernatural passages in the bible are true don't kid yourself that you're thinking independently. You may not be captive to an organisation but you are certainly held captive by that book.

Journeyman:
That was just a statement of what is Christian doctrine
No, that was you preaching. Re-read that 1st paragraph of yours. You preach that we are created by god and that resisting him is a serious sin. You didn't quote the bible in that whole post. It was all you.
And even if the bible does make sinister "resistance is futile" threats, what of it? Why take it seriously and, more importantly, why trouble exiting cult members with the very same intimidation?

Journeyman:
resistance against God and the holy spirit is what is the serious sin.
This right here is the problem with religious posters on a forum for recovering JW's. Piling on the guilt and fear that leaving God or the cult is a terrible thing to do.
Shameful.

Duran, analysing the doctrines that once held us all captive is helpful. It helps former cult members understand where they've come from and how they were mislead. It's part of the awakening process and gives confidence to take those first steps to freedom.
Evangelising for your particular religious point of view is unhelpful and unwelcome. There is a huge difference between promoting and analysing.
Make the effort to understand that.

Hear, hear Blondie. You've expressed the concerns I've also had for a while. A handful of fundamentalists bent on proving some theological point or other (as if it matters).
Imagine a doubting JW coming here for the first time and seeing that. What a complete lack of awareness.
Not sure what the answer is, I totally understand Simon not investing so much of his time here after a quarter century of dealing with it all
Perhaps we should all get involved in those threads to bang a few heads together?
